Peppermill Cafe — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Waited over an hour for 2 omelettes with burnt toast and an order of pancakes . It doesn't take an hour to cook eggs and pancakes...Restaurant wasn't busy or anything. Food was delicious. Service was so bad . I can't believe this chick was even hired. Whilst waiting for food the waitress comes to the table and says she didn't charge us correctly and we still owe $6 with no proof, receipt , explanation or anything. I paid it but had a feeling she was lying. I felt ripped off when I left. She was just salty that I didn't tip her when I ordered the food and paid for it . Low-key diner vibe with a bar. I liked the ambiance and the food was solid with good portions, but the service was extremely slow and barebones, I was never even offered a refill of coffee. It took 30-40 minutes for our food to be ready despite the restaurant being empty besides 2 other tables.

I'd eat there again if I were staying at this hotel, but definitely only if I had time to spare. It is conveniently located near a lot of downtown...

I stayed at the Holiday Inn hotel for 2 nights. Excellent hotel. However the restaurant attached to it was not very good.
