You can cut the rib steak with a butter knife.

I ordered the $44 rib steak as was recommended by the cashier. It was a solid meal with some minor issues.

The food is served at a large kiosk inside the main area of the commons where there is shared seating. You order at the counter and they hand you a buzzer so you know when to go up to get your food. It's restaurant food but at a kiosk. You get real plates and the steak we ordered was served on a wooden platter / cutting board.

Good: You can cut it with a butter knife The steak comes pre-sliced which makes it a little easier to cut. Came with 3 veg and a baked potato that were all very flavorful Even though pricey, you save on the tip. There was nothing asking for a tip that I could see. (We paid with cash) Simon came out to ask us how we found the food, shows they care about their clients

Bad: the rib steak was a bit sinewy. So I did have some issues with cutting it with a butter knife if I read into one of those parts. The cheese on the baked potato was overwhelmed by the sour cream making it a bit of an unnecessary addition. One or the other, with both it's a bit wasted. It doesn't make it worse, just not better A touch pricey

Be prepared to wait 20 minutes. It takes longer to prepare Medium rare is good because this steak is quite fatty. It allows the fat to melt in more. (We got ours rare)

It is located inside the commons in the forks. Next to nuburger on the York boat Lane side across from the commons 🍻 beer station.

Parking is at the forks. Be prepared to pay. We parked at the closest spot which was $.50 per 15 minutes or...

I ordered one chicken and one spinach empanada, but got two spinach empanadas by mistake. I went back to the window to ask for a chicken one instead, but they were already closing. This didn't bother me too much since the spinach empanadas were excellent. The woman working was very nice about it though and even though they were already ready to close, she took the time to correct my order. I came back to collect my chicken empanada and was surprised that she had made me an extra one for free! By the end of it all, I ordered two empanadas and got four! Both women working were very gracious and friendly and I felt like they really care about what they do! This was on the evening of April 5, 2021. I don't know the names of the women working, but they were both excellent and made me experience so good that I HAD to come and give them five stars!! Disclaimer: I had quite a bit of chicken cartilage in my chicken empanada, but other than that, it was still very tasty and the spinach ones were SO GOOD. Also, best sweet potato fries I've ever tried!! This has become my new go-to spot...

I came looking to try out their 16OZ NY Striploin, however their menu has been recently updated and this is no longer offered. At the cashier's recommendation, I went with the 16OZ Bavette (flank) Steak.

The Good: The steak was well seasoned and cooked correctly to order (medium-rare). The sides were well done as well. The vegetables in the salad crisp, and the dressing tangy. The onion rings were also light, crisp, and not greasy.

The Bad: The steak was extremely tough and sinewy - the butter knife they provided could barely cut through each slice. To make it worse, they served the steak sliced with the grain. I would think it would be common knowledge for a "steakhouse" that a flank steak should be sliced against the grain for the most tender and delicious result.

Overall, I don't think I will try this place out again as their star, the steak, was quite disappointing. There are better...

I had the chance to have dinner at the Forks Market and decided on Simon's. I had the gaucho sandwich and the spicy beef empanada. But hands down the sandwich was the star for me. The tenderloin and egg was cooked nicely. The arugula, tomato, and onions were fresh. The choice of bun went with everything and did an admirable job trying to contain all the goodness. Initially, i thought the sandwich was on the pricey side but after eating it and looking at the ingredients - i thought it was fair. To be honest the sandwich alone was enough to fill me - and i eat a lot. If you happen to be at the Forks - check it out.
