Our visit was around 9:15 PM to 10:30 PM, Thursday, June 31, 2025, and we had really bad service. I don’t usually complain about restaurant visits but it was not busy in the dining area at least when we went.
The orders were a cauliflower dip (with extra chips) and wings for everyone at the table. When we received the chips, we didn’t get the extra chips. No biggie. We asked our server for some more, but then we never got it. We then got our wings (from a different person) and never saw our actual server again until near the end. Luckily, our food was good although the wings were on the small size. Once all of our wings and drinks were finished, we waited and waited. She did not come once to ask for refills, more wings, check on our food, our chips, anything. I initially thought it was because she was new or having a bad day, but that doesn’t excuse not checking in at least once. We even tried getting her attention by looking/waving at her only for her to glance at us then walk away.
When we finally received our bill, we asked for refills and inquired about our chips. She claims she had no idea why it didn’t arrive. Well that’s because you never went to our table to check up on us. We were going to order more wings and dessert but lost our appetites. When we finally paid for our bill (and nothing comped btw or even an apology for the service), she saw how low we tipped. She didn’t ask if we wanted a receipt and just walked away. Another couple nearby can confirm that this server was like this as they were also experiencing the same thing. It didn’t help she didn’t apologize a single time for anything. Heck, she didn’t even ask us if the food was good or how we’re doing.
We usually enjoy our time at Smitty’s and tip well, but not this time. Very...
Read moreWe placed an order over the phone and my husband went and picked it up. Seemed to be quite a bit of confusion over the phone but then was hopeful we sorted it out.
I asked for the Bacon Denver omelette and to add mushrooms to the omelette. She seemed a little bit confused about that and said "oh I will add the mushrooms at the end". Not sure what she meant by that but clearly she added the mushrooms to the extra hash browns, oddly enough. She asked me if I wanted hash browns, pancakes, or toast. I said it comes with hash browns...my choices are between toast and pancakes. She said well they are all options you can even get sliced tomato and I said no I want the hash browns with my meal and then I want pancakes instead of toast. Took a while to have her understand what I meant. Then I asked if they could send some Frank's hot sauce with our meals because like I said, we just moved, and we always get hot sauce when we eat in your restaurant. I got charged 75 cents for the hot sauce but do not pay for it in store. Very surprised about that.
When we got our food, there was no bacon whatsoever in my container so it was definitely not a Bacon Denver omelette. When I order it in the restaurant, it always comes on top but when I saw that it was not on top, I assumed it was inside the omelet. No bacon inside either Also, there were no mushrooms in it either but then when we opened up the container of the extra hash browns we had ordered, there were mushrooms in with the hash browns. Needless to say, extremely disappointed. Spent the day moving today and just really wanted a good meal and paid $60 and didn't get what we wanted.

Read moreTried their new all you can eat fish for the first time with about 5 family members. First of all they don't warn you of the rules, everyone at the table must first eat everything off of their plate meaning the fries and the first 2 peices of fish they give you before anyone can order again. Wish they would let these rules be known before hand as it is not written on anything. The first 2 fish they give you are covered in a heavy batter almost like a donut batter only thing missing was the brown sugar and cinnamon. It was so thick that anyone would be full after eating the first two pieces and the fish inside was so thin. Disappointing part was after you order and eat the first 2 fish and fries they give you than can you only order after everyone at the table has finished eating everything off of their plate. Stupid rule to make without letting us know before hand especially when i eat quicker than my 16 year old daughter and my 65 year old mother. Not only that but they only bring 1 piece per person at a time, again with the thickest batter I have ever seen. We ate in total between 5 people maybe 15 peices of fish which wasn't very filling for all you can eat, on top of that we waited maybe 30 mins between each order of 1 fish after we ate. We spent over 2 hrs in the establishment and were not satisfied. Will definitely not be going back again for this promotion and would much rather stick with Joeys only for all you can eat fish. The waitress was nice and explained that she was not prone to the all you can eat fish and our table was her first experience for the promotion. Felt rather embarrassed and alienated for an all you can eat...
