Rude supervisor….my partner went in on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at approximately 1:30 PM. and dealt with the most unprofessional and rude supervisor. My partner had placed an order there on a different day and the order was not correct and when he called the restaurant back, the person he spoke with told him they would take hi name down and that he could come back on another day to get the item that was missing from his previous order on another visit. Coming in today trying to get that order honoured the supervisor blatantly tells him that, that’s not how things are done around here and after he explained the situation the supervisor then offered to send him a coupon, which he agreed to receive instead of just getting the food that was messed up from the previous order while he was there. While she is talking to my partner in the middle of the conversation, she goes to answer the phone, doesn’t even excuse herself or apologize and explain that she has to take the call, as it was her boss that was calling, and this was the person that she needed to talk with about getting this coupon. When confronted by my partner about this, the supervisor rudely addresses him back, trying to tell him that it was her manager and basically saying that it was OK to just walk away from him mid conversation to answer the phone and then when he tried telling her that her actions were wrong, she starts scoffing at him and sarcastically tells him thank you for teaching her a lesson today. I don’t know how people do things from where she comes from but here in Canada the customer deserves respect and that is not how you run a customer oriented business and provide services to customers. However, today my partner and I went into the store and I am absolutely disgusted with the employee, Catherine’s service. Her behaviour was APPALLING. I have worked in customer service and managed teams for years, and I would be quite upset to have somebody like this on my team... My partner and I had ordered online for pick up, came to the store and had to wait nearly 15 minutes for our order. Which is alright, I understand the thought process of keeping the food warm and fresh. But as Catherine brought the food to the front, she made a snarky comment “Pull your pants up, that’s indecent” (I will mention that my partners pants were a bit low, but nowhere near low enough to make a remark). And it was not indecent, it wasn’t like he was pulling his junk out or was even remotely offensive. Now, I am pretty sure that it is Wendy’s employees job to serve me my food, give good customer service, be kind and courteous - not give fashion advice and disrespectful comments that are not warranted. It is 2019, why are we having ANYTHING to say to a complete stranger about what they are wearing? Especially when they are a paying customer giving YOUR STORE business.
