Banana Leaf Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Woodstock

Very happy with our order! It was our first time trying Banana Leaf. Read the reviews and decided to give it a try. So glad we did!

We had the chicken Pad Thai and the Mixed Vegetables with Chicken. Like other reviews have said, the serving sizes do feel smaller than other restaurants’ sizes, but since we really enjoyed the food, we didn’t really mind at all! I really liked that the ingredients were good quality and fresh, and the dishes didn’t have a “commercialized” flavour to it, but was very fresh and home-made, which is how we like it! As if my own Asian mama had made it for us lol! On top of that, the lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful. Originally we had ordered the mixed vegetables with chicken and cashew nuts. But then since we had mentioned we have a peanut allergy, she called us back to let us know the cashews were stored next to the peanuts, after which we decided to forgo the cashews and just get the vegetables and chicken. Great customer service! Will definitely be ordering from here again! Thank you...

Only had takeout options when we arrived due to baby - congrats but seems as though another customer commented the same 4 months ago..wonder if the restaurant has been closed since the last review?? Too bad, because the restaurant looks quaint to eat at. Lunch portions are VERY small - comparable to a small microwavable dinner...was still hungry after eating...could have easily eaten 2 lunch orders. I would rather have only 1 spring roll with lunch if it meant bigger meal portions. Pad thai was mediocre and felt as though it was missing something... cashew chicken with rice was to die for. Unfortunately I do not live by and was just passing through for business... would love to...

This place was recommended by friends who live in Woodstock. There were five of us. We tried: lemon mushroom soup, shrimp coconut soup, fried spring rolls, Thai samosas, mango salad, yellow chicken curry, steamed jasmine rice, cashew chicken, fried glass noodles with chicken and pineapple fried rice Everything was incredibly fresh and nicely prepared and presented.
