This place had the potential to be a lovely place to visit for a drink, a bit different from the street level places but turns out kids aren’t everyone’s cup of tea though! Yes the kids were a little excited (giddy) at the prospect of been in a roof terrace bar with couch/bed style seating…….
However the place was empty (as in it was us and NO ONE ELSE)!! The bar owner/server was more bothered about the 3 children taking in the surroundings than the fact that we were paying customers wanting drinks (so much so the order had to be repeated more than twice) - well how to make friends and alienate people eh.
No worries, we’ll calm the kids down finish our drinks and be on our merry way don’t you worry!
Thanks for your absolutely outstanding friendly hospitality which evidently is only expelled to Adult customers visiting without children.
Like I said it has potential if your adults without kids looking for a unique little music nook in a place like this but with kids I’d give it a huge miss.
Oh nice touch with the fella who followed me up the stairs to let me know he had some “good coke” if I was interested, I said probably best not to with the kids eh (you know to be polite and let him...
Read moreWe were looking forward to going here and decided after hearing about unfriendly staff to go and make our own mind up. On arrival we walked in just as they opened and felt very uncomfortable. There were just two staff members who looked at us as if we had just walked into their living room. After 5 minutes when we realised they were not going to come and take our order we went to the bar and stood for a further 5 min whilst staff carried on generally behind the bar ignoring us.. Eventually we got our drinks and the male member of staff "possible the owner called Michael " very reluctantly started to play some music. Shortly after another female member of staff arrived "possible Michael's mother " who took over behind the bar. We watched as another couple arrived and were ignored for several minutes stood at the bar waiting to be served we then decided to leave. The bar is a lovely little set up and one we would have visited several times during our stay had the staff been more friendly (a smile would even be nice). I definitely would not recommend this bar purely due to miserable and unhelpful attitude of...
Read moreTHIS EUROPEAN-OWNED ESTABLISHMENT DISCRIMINATES BASED ON RACE AND ETHNICITY. The bouncer at the door was going to let us in for free but then he stopped a Black African man and told him to pay for a cover charge. We stopped and asked why he has to pay when we can go for free and he said "only Black men have to pay cover charge". I asked why this is so and he said it's because they go in and do not buy drinks. I asked if Black Americans also have to pay and he thought about it and then said "no". This is so wrong. We are in Africa. Are we going back to slavery days? I suggest you charge a cover charge for everyone and have one drink ticket included with this entry fee. Assuming the name is this venue is inspired by Bob Marley...well he would be rolling in his grave at the thought of this type of...
