We visited the restaurant because of the very good rating. The ambiance was appealing. We ordered the drinks from a competent waiter and they were served quickly. For dinner we ordered from a waitress (1st course to share): naan bread, tikkis vegetarian and sushi (spicy tuna) and 2nd course: malai tikka (mixed vegetables with paneer from tandoor) and a second vegetarian dish with 2x rice extra. For starters: the naan bread and the tikkis were served quickly, the sushi didn't come. During the first course we were informed that the sauce for the main course was over. we ordered an alternative. The Malai Tikka consisted of 90% tofu, only 2 pieces of tomato and 2 pieces of green pepper were the vegetables. In addition there was salad and fries (not on the menu). The sushi (salmon - incorrect billing) came at the end of the meal. We complained about the "misdelivery" and criticized the main course. The waitress wasn't impressed, even when I showed her on the menu that the dish wasn't as described. Another waiter then explained that the fault was probably with the waitress... Read moreThe best Indian Food and Japanese Food on Sal Island, and that’s coming from an Indian family who loves their sushi! From the minute you walk in, the staff are incredibly welcoming and the service, aesthetics and overall ambience is just perfect. It’s a little oasis right in the heart of Santa Maria, just off the main strip. A hidden gem 💎
Everywhere you look in the restaurant you can see the level of detail that has been considered. From the tablewares, live music and the lighting through to the most important part, the food! Wow, the butter chicken was made with fresh ghee and the lamb didn’t have an ounce of fat on it. The petit fours dessert was a chocolate fondue, the perfect melt inside with fresh vanilla ice cream.
I would highly recommend booking a table and coming between 5-7pm when the live singer tends to be in on Saturdays I believe.
A must visit on Sal Island, not...

For our mains we had a fish curry (local wahoo) which was light and flaky with no bones and perfectly spiced, and a prawn korma that was equally tasty. To accompany this we ordered the rice with peas, plain basmati rice and home made garlic naan (which was more of a flatbread) all of which were excellent. The service was attentive and friendly. There were lots of other choices on the menu with chicken, lamb, beef and vegetarian dishes but with the quality of the seafood in Cape Verde I recommend you try the fish...
