Simple Bar/Grill — Restaurant in Sal

We decided to try food at this little rustic restaurent. Firstly, it was packed out and you really need to try and book, this alone told me it was good. We had booked but still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated, but we'll worth the weight. The fish served on the bone or fillet was superb. We went as a group of 6 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed there meal, having had 2 wahoo fillet, 2 Amberjack on the bone 1 piri piri chicken and on ribs. The octopus looked great too. Well worth the wait, place was packed from opening to close.

Don't be put off that it is in a side street, with not much of a view other than the street and a building in progress.

Well worth the wait, service was great, very friendly staff, will definitely be going back- if we can get in that is. Well done guys...

Dinner for 2 in Feb 2025 Tuna fillet €16 and mixed meat €17 = 3300cve Reservation is recommend as it gets busy. There are only a handful of tables.

Positives: Service staff have a good mix of languages so nothing gets lost in translation. The food has great taste. Comes with sides including a small salad, rice and small salad and fries…which comes about 5 mins after the main course is brought out which is strange.

Negatives: I’m a big eater and I thought the mixed meat was small. I was expecting more meat. The steak was overcooked but everything else was tasty. Because it’s outdoors people can smoke around you. Obviously they can’t do anything about that - just an...

Love, love, love this small, simple cafe. The fab staff are superb, and very friendly. The food is sensational...we ended up going twice as the food was so brilliant. I'd read that the Peri peri chicken was superb, I tried it and it was.

The second time I had the mixed fish grill and I got two large full fish and a large fillet, I think they were Grouper, Dorada and Wahoo, all grilled to perfection, served with a gorgeous salad and the tastiest rice I've ever had.

It's unassuming, yet charming and as it says on the tin Simple. Perfect and we'd definitely recommend. Either book or be prepared to wait, there are only 7 tables with a total...
