Wow, the views from this place are stunning. If you want great food with the view, this is the place to be.....unless you don't drink alcohol!!! Whilst sitting inside the restaurant I had 3 virgin cocktails, Bruschetta and Grilled fish for my main - £30 in total. I then wanted to sit in the lounge area facing the sea, with a coffee. I was abruptly told that I cannot sit there if I order coffee, as its for those drinking cocktails and alcoholic drinks. But, when I ordered a virgin cocktail, I was told I had to have alcohol in it to be allowed to sit there!!! I offered to pay the full price of the cocktail with alcohol, but I was told 'the owner' does not allow people who do not drink alcohol to sit there!! What dreadful discrimination, and profound stupidity!!! What is the precise difference if paying the same price?? Nobody knows what you're drinking. There was no way around it as they would not serve me. I left feeling extremely disgruntled and would never return to a place that thinks it is justified to treat people so disgracefully!!! The staff were so embarrassed after I gave them a piece of my mind....in Italian. They profusely apologised and insisted its the Italian owners 'policy'. Shame....

Absolutely horrific! We arrived at the premises, and were asked if we want to drink or eat. We were not allowed to eat at the front tables, and we completely understood, so we ate at the regular tables, and asked if we can move at the front tables after eating, and they said yes. I didn’t want to drink alcohol so I ordered a Coffe, and as we spoke before eating we wanted to move at the tables that have a better view. The lady said I cannot bring my Coffe over there, as the front rows are only for alcohol. My husband was already drinking an alcoholic drink and asked for another. It is outrageous that they don’t make a difference for the customers that are there to spend money, as we were. I can understand the rules, of course they do not allow people to have a cheap drink at the front rows, but this was not the case. We orders food, and drinks. Also the lady was laughing when she left, and this is completely rude. It is a pity, as we liked the food and we were willing to spend more time at the place and of course, have more...

Initially stopped here to have drinks in the adult only beach front area. Sat there for an hour & half watching the world go by, locals playing football & the island life. We planned to dine at a different restaurant which we could see just across the beach but we saw it closing its doors and shutting up for the night, & were soooo glad it did.

We dinned at this place & we were absolutely pleased with everything, the food, oh the food!!!!!! & the staff were on their toes too. We were never left wanting for anything, are used dishes were whisked away like the accused had just been sent down & the alcoholic drinks were handsome in portions.......

The whole meal & drinks costing less than £40 & its turned out to be one of the most romantic & plesent nights we've had so far!

Definitely...

We had a memorable lunch at a seafood restaurant in Santa Maria, Cape Verde, where the atmosphere added a perfect island touch to our meal. The highlight was trying the local lobster dish, which was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented (see the picture for inspiration!). The food was of great quality, and it was clear the ingredients were locally sourced. The restaurant is on the pricier side – our lunch for four came to about €100 – but for the experience and quality, we felt it was worth it. If you’re looking to sample authentic Cape Verdean seafood in a great setting, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Cute restaurant on the beach. Great vibe. Ordered the Fritto Misto because it was the only thing that appealed to me. The menu mentions fried shrimp and calamari, but when it arrived there was also fried fish. I wouldn’t have ordered it had that been on the menu. Then, the shrimp was fried with the skin on (?!?) so I had to peel off the whole fried part, and the calamari were chewy. Finally, it was served dry, no sauce. I had to ask for one, which seems weird to me for a plate of fried food. I would come back for drinks only, although when my drink was empty, I had to track someone down for another.

Lobster and seafood is very good. Other dishes like pizza and pasta are well below average. The setting nice though. Nice bamboo furniture on the sandy beach floor. A shame this place - which could be fantastic - is ruined by the in your face „kids are not welcomed“ policy, pretended upclass restaurant with drive for alcohol consumption for front tables, thought cuttelery is in a box in the middle of the table and you have to bring your table number to pay at the front desk. Also high price for the island. It could be such a nice place if the food was better and guests would feel more welcomed.
