Nestled on the picturesque island of Sal in Cape Verde, Creperia Sol Doce is a culinary haven that effortlessly combines the charm of its seaside location with an exceptional seafood dining experience. Situated right next to the pier, the restaurant offers a front-row seat to the mesmerizing spectacle of local fishermen bringing in their fresh catch daily—a spectacle that sets the stage for an unforgettable meal.

From the moment you step in, the warm and inviting atmosphere of Creperia Sol Doce embraces you. The staff are not only friendly and attentive but also genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The menu boasts a delightful array of seafood options, all sourced directly from the vibrant local fishing community.

One cannot help but appreciate the commitment to freshness at Creperia Sol Doce. The seafood served here is nothing short of spectacular, with a promise that each bite is a testament to the ocean's bounty. The highlight for me has undoubtedly been the tuna steak—a culinary masterpiece that manages to capture the essence of perfection. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to absolute precision, the tuna steak is a must-try for seafood enthusiasts.

The dining experience is elevated by the proximity to the pier, allowing guests to witness the hustle and bustle of the local fishermen at work. The seamless transition from sea to plate is a testament to the restaurant's dedication to quality and authenticity. It's a unique and immersive experience that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to an already exceptional meal.

As a word of advice, Creperia Sol Doce's popularity is evident, and it's recommended to arrive early or, if needed, book a table in advance. The restaurant can get quite busy, and there might be a wait for food during peak hours. However, the wait is well worth it, and the bustling atmosphere only adds to the anticipation of the culinary delights to come.

The menu extends beyond seafood, offering a variety of crepes and other delectable options for those with different culinary preferences. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or craving something different, Creperia Sol Doce has something for everyone.

In conclusion, Creperia Sol Doce on the island of Sal is a true gem that captures the essence of fresh, local, and expertly prepared seafood. The combination of a stunning seaside location, a commitment to quality, and a menu that caters to diverse tastes makes it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience...

We came to this restaurant based on a recommendation, and we’re so glad we did. It’s located right by the pier, where fishing boats come in the morning — the owners buy the catch directly from the fishermen and cook it the same day, and you can really taste that freshness in every dish.

Everything was delicious, warm, and had a genuine, home-style feel. We ordered percebes (served cold here) and, for the first time, tried cracas and limpets. The staff explained that these come from the other side of the island, while the tuna for our tataki is caught locally. The fish was excellent and prepared with great care. My partner loved here caipirinha, too.

Our only regret was arriving late — we wanted to try the tartare, but the kitchen had already closed. Highly recommended, but come for...

Located by the beach in Santa Maria. Got there alone and you were not allowed to sit on Amy of the empty tables. Finally they were happy with the seating on the right side of the table! Took awhile to order, was looking for lobster. Tons of flies when the meal got served, making it hard to enjoy the food. After 15 minutes they came with a fan. Then 15 minutes to get the change back ! Another single guy came in and wanted to sit at the other side of the table, but was not allowed. He was told to go to the table far away from the ocean, so he finally leftm . I should have done the same , because the food and service is...

It is a good place to have a lunch, there is only seating out side and we do recommend go early because the later you go the less possibility of diversity on the choosing. We went there 2 times. The first we picked the Octopus à Lagareiro and Yellow fin fish fillet the second the tuna tataki and catch of the day Gouraz. The food flavor was really nice. Unfortunately to start they didn't had bread and the olives smell and tasted fishy. The prices are ok, but you are paying the location. The service can be a bit chaotic. I do recommend nevertheless.
