Unbelievably bad service. First we were told we could only stay for one drink as they are a restaurant: fair enough! We asked about the happy hour and it was buy one get one half price. Sounded great! Purchased two of the same raspberry mojitos for myself and my mother. It arrived and they were awfully sweet and undrinkable - and full of the taste of cherry (ie not as described) we asked if we could get different ones and we were told no but said that they would make it more sour. Not ideal but fine, even though they still tasted awful. We asked for the bill which did not have the second drink for half price and our waiter (a different one) told us happy hour half price second drinks were individual deals and couldn’t be shared (bearing in mind we were only permitted to stay for one drink and this wasn’t mentioned previously). He brought over the manager who shouted at us, denied that his waiter had said anything wrong and refused to give us the discount. At this point we stood up and said he could either give us the discount or we weren’t going to pay at all. He then took us seriously, went to change the bill and wouldn’t look us when we were paying. A very stern “ADIOS” was shouted in our faces when we left. Wow, we’ve never had service like that before. Not worth the effort and would not recommend. Awful AWFUL...
Read morereally wanted to eat at the place. but i was just for 2 days in santiago, so i didn’t get an internet plan for my cell. I got there, there was no place outside, so i needed to get my mobility pass to sit inside. I had it, but on my mail, so i needed internet to get it. the waiter told me they had no internet or wifi and that i had to show my pass to him. i also asked for the menu and it was just with QR code which i couldn’t read either, as i had no internet. he told me all of their customers had internet so that was not their problem. i told him i had my pass and that we should look for solutions for me to get it, but he told me there was nothing to be done and that i couldn’t eat at the place. ended up eating 2 blocks away, at a restaurant that provided me internet to show my pass...
Read moreWe just got there in time to get a window seat upstairs and to place our order, before the Gastronomica Ciudadano filled up. It was a relief to have a waiter with a very good command of English! By the time we left there was not a single empty seat. Great choice of food and beers (including artisanal). We had pizza: very light base, delicious mix of goodies on top, highly recommended. The music was loud, contemporary, and fitted into the mix very well. This could become our favourite spot in Santiago but we are still only on day two...
