Hotel Torremayor Providencia — Hotel in Providencia

I visited this hotel as a tour leader with 13 other guests, early February 2020 for 3 nights. The hotel is located in a good quiet neighborhood but the problem is that this encourages pickpocketing and robberies. ||We experienced this, unfortunately. Our bus was parked just in front of the hotel and a thief walked into our bus and stole the handbag of a lady in our group with her money and passport. You should be very careful and attentive to your belongings.||The staff of the hotel makes all the difference, they are helpful, smiling and nice with an excellent English. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They did everything they could to make the stay more comfortable. I would like to thank especially Claudia, she was so friendly and helpful.||The rooms are large and comfortable but the problem is with the dated AC's of the rooms. The AC's are sooo noisy and not very efficient.||Bottled water are not offered in the rooms...||Wifi is good ||The hotel offers you a welcome drink at the bar but when you present your ticket to the counter they offer you only wine. They don't even accept to offer a juice or a soft drink!||It is a pity!||Breakfast is basic but ok. ||I was shocked when at 6:45 we were refused to access the buffet officially open at 7AM,||The hotel prepared for us special dishes at 6:30 but since the buffet was ready and we were in the Breakfast Hall, why refusing us the access as hotel...

The location of this hotel may be the only good thing about it. The receptionists here have been very unhelpful. When we arrived before check in and requested to keep our bags in the hotel while we explored the city, they told us that there was only enough room to store the suitcase and not our carryon items. They also said the storage room wasn’t secure. So I guess you take your chances storing your belongings with hotel staff? This meant we had to carry our heavy bags along a 2 hour walking tour. When we were able to check in to our room, we noticed the air conditioning was not functioning well. We asked an employee to check it and she said it was working as expected. However, in our room it’s hotter than it is outside in the city in the middle of summer. There is no way that this is what should be considered normal or acceptable. We requested a room change and were told that it could not be done. We also requested a fan and were told there are none available. The window also does not open. And the remote that comes with the air conditioning is not easy to use...

Imagino ser difícil a avaliação sobre o Torremayor Providência, visto todas as ultimas avaliações existentes sobre esse hotel, sendo assim tentarei fazer uma descrição o mais detalhada possível! Não é um 4 estrelas brasileiro, mas um 3 tranquilamente.||1º A Localização é espetacular, ela não pode ser questionada por ninguém, Localização fantástica sensacional, acredito que só pela localização já valeria a pena a estadia. Mas eu também peguei uma ótima promoção então o Custo x Beneficio foi muito bom. Sendo assim localização 10/10.||2º Concierge Daniel, uma figura impar, com um humor, talvez um pouco acido, mas uma pessoa também, muito prestativa e proativa. Talvez o que leve pessoas a não entenderem o seu posicionamento é o fato de ser claro e direto. Sim é sim, não é não, como também sou assim, adorei a pessoa Daniel. (Quando cheguei, não sabia como seria o frio, solicitei mais uma coberta, ele me disse: Veio ao Chile para sentir esse clima, esse friozinho gostoso, se fosse para passar calor ficava no Brasil. Mas levou o cobertor ao quarto, esse é o Daniel)||3º Quarto, pontualmente em relação ao quarto 505. O chuveiro é bom, não tive problemas em relação a temperatura da água e da quantidade da mesma, o quarto não tem carpete, a TV apresenta uma grande gama de canais, existe cofre e frigobar, o único senão é em relação ao aquecedor, faz bastante barulho, mas deixava-o ligado durante o dia, e quando chegava a noite, desligava e o quarto por ter isolante térmico, continuava muito quente, tanto que dormia sem coberta. Trocavam as toalhas diariamente, limpeza a contento. As amenidades sabonte e touca para cabelo foram disponibilizados dia sim e dia não (02 sabonetes e 01 touca), shampoo e condicionador existe dispenser junto ao box/chuveiro. No quarto 505 existe também secador de cabelos, mas não são todos que contam, nos quartos que não contam, eles disponibilizam, presenciei alguns fatos de hospedes solicitando.||4º São 03 elevadores que dão conta do fluxo de hospedes sem maiores problemas.||5º Café da Manhã, inicia as 07:00h, se pedirem ate as 18:00h do dia anterior montam um kit café para os passeios que saem antes das 07:00h, não solicitei pq os passeios sempre param em algum local para café, e acho que faz parte do costume conhecer. Não vi nenhum kit para saber do que era composto, mas em um dia vi um hospede solicitando as 21:20h e o Daniel informando que não era possível, pois a solicitação deveria ter ocorrido até as 18:00h. (como disse acima, regras são regras, sim é sim, não é não.). O café satisfaz muito, cumpre ao que se propõe, sempre dois sucos, pães variados, leite, maquina de café e os frios são excelentes, não é um café de resort brasileiro, mas muito bom.||6º Internet. No quarto oscilava bastante mas nas partes comum, era muito boa, tanto em velocidade quanto oscilação., tanto na recepção quanto café, bar, piscina.||7º No check in passam o cartão em 200 dólares, de calção que é estornado automaticamente no check-out.||||Sendo assim, analisando Custo x Beneficio, eu voltaria tranquilamente ao Torremayor Providencia.
