Bangkok — Restaurant in Santiago

Came once in April 2024, asked for pad kee mao which isn't on the menu, spicy level 4. It had lots of veggies and tofu (protein I chose), flavor wasn't quite right but decent for Latin America, I guess. Noodles were chewy. The noodles weren't the correct flat rice noodles, they were the thin pad thai rice noodles - I suspect it's an ingredient they just don't have.

Went again in Mar 2025, asked for off-menu pad kee mao again, was told they don't have it. I explained when I came last year, I asked for it and I had it, and then another person who speaks English came by to see what was up and then asked for me. I got it, but it came with rice. Oh dear. I said it should be with noodles and got noodles - but it was a sore disappointment. There was tofu, carrots, a few pieces of mushrooms, and noodles. Basically stir-fried tofu with noodles. It was also extremely expensive at 11200 CLP. Yikes.

I read on the placemat they have, and it says they got some Thailand-government award for being authentic and they want to spread Thai culture and authentic tastes. This is far from that. I have family in Thailand and I grew up eating extremely good Thai (and Asian food generally) food. This is...

Al llegar al local, nos encontramos con dos ambientes. El del primer piso, compuesto por mesas y sillas y el del segundo piso con mesas bajas para sentarse en el suelo. Me gusto bastante que exista la posibilidad de escoger donde sentarse, y así animarse a vivir la experiencia de comer comida tailandesa con todo 👌🏽. Por otro lado está muy buen ambientado y la música entrega un plus Al ubicarnos, nos dieron unas masitas crocante con salsas, a modo de cortesía, que nos hicieron sentir bienvenidas en el lugar. Para comenzar, pedimos una entrada, que consistía en rollitos de verduras son salsa, muy sabroso. De fondo pedí el plato que es servido en la mitad de una piña, muy rico para quienes les gusta la comida salsa con toques ácidos y dulces (por ejemplo; si no te gusta la pizza con piña, no creo que esté plato sea tu preferido). Mi acompañante pidió el pad thai, del cual me dio de probar, estaba rico, sin embargo lo encontré un poqito fome, el diente de dragón estaba en el plato, pero puesto de adorno, sin ser salteado, no condimentado, solo puesto en el lugar. Para beber, pedí un pisco sour catedral, venia heladito, sabroso, súper rico! Pero su presentación no le hacía justicia, ya que venía en una copa de vino :c Finalmente pedimos un postre para compartir, que contenía tapioca y la verdad es que me arrepiento de no haber pedido 2, porque estaba DELICIOSO.

Por último, me gustaría comentar, que nos sorprendimos al ver la cuenta, ya que para haber pedido entrada, platos de fondo aperitivo, bebida y postre, el monto final fue mucho más inferior a lo que se suele pagar en otros restorantes.

A modo general, es un lugar donde encantadamente volvería y sin dudar...

Great to find some Thai food in travels in South America. Enjoyed watching the chefs cook with the open kitchen. Will be back daily whilst I'm in Santiago.

After second visit the curry is far better than the pad thai, far more flavour and authenticity to how the dish is served in Thailand. The pad thai was too watery, saucy and lacked authentic flavour
