English speakers, steer clear! Tons of fake one time reviewers. This restaurant operates on "tourist trap" time, where courtesy and service are as rare as a mermaid sighting. Unless you enjoy feeling ignored, belittled, and nickel-and-dimed, Ocean Pacific is best admired from afar – like a pretty mirage hiding a desolate desert!
Ocean Pacific might boast seafood, but the service deserves a sinking ship metaphor. Let's start with the server, Milady Ramírez, who treated my American & Indian family like unwanted driftwood. Unhelpful inquiries were met with sighs and eye rolls, while basic requests felt like climbing Mount Improbable.
Even the busser seemed to channel Scrooge when we asked for an English menu grumbling under his breath and offering less assistance than a deflated life preserver.
The meal aside from the difficult negotiation, beached a Quinoa salad as limp as a jellyfish on the sand. We expressed our disappointment, and the manager's apology was sincere, but was far too little, far too late. To add insult to injury, they even had the audacity to charge us for the cardboard coffins (I mean, to-go boxes) to carry away our uninspired meals in the Uber (yet another charge).
Guests should visit Caleta 94 instead for freshly prepared local Chilean Seafood and fabulous service.

Read moreThe location is a bit off-putting - somewhat inaccessible and slightly dubious. The concept and layout, particularly the long entry sequence, are unconventional, even bizarre. As first-time guests, we found ourselves wondering: were we stepping into a seafood restaurant or a maritime museum?
For a good five to six minutes, we were led through a corridor lined with scale models of whales, sharks, turtles, sea monsters, and maritime paraphernalia, an immersive yet bewildering introduction. Finally, we arrived at the bar- a striking recreation of a pirate galleon - before navigating a labyrinth of dining rooms beyond. We were seated in the sunroom, bathed in natural light from a lovely skylight above.
Thankfully, some English is spoken. We ordered four mains and a seafood soup to share: grilled octopus, abalone risotto, prawn-crab spaghetti, and fried fish on quinoa. Portions were generous, the seasoning bold and intense, and the seafood impeccably fresh. The cooking style and flavours seemed varied and well-suited to most palates.
In the end, despite the eccentric setting, we enjoyed a deeply satisfying and...
Read moreNot your average restaurant—this place is part museum, part gallery, and completely immersive. From antique diving suits to vintage nautical radios, each dining room is a deep dive into a different maritime theme. One room had only masks. Another felt like you were inside a submarine. Every corner was filled with history, passion, and curated treasures collected by the owner over the years.
A quick chat with the warm and knowledgeable staff turned into a full-on tour that lasted half an hour—and I loved every minute of it. The owner’s dedication was evident in every piece, especially knowing that a past fire had destroyed much of the original collection, only for them to rebuild it even bigger and better. A true testament to resilience and love for the craft.
And as a vegetarian and not much of a foodie, even I have to say—the food and drinks? Top notch.
