Huajia Yiyuan — Restaurant in Beijing

Excellent food, roast duck is delicious, perfectly cooked. We thought they will bring the whole duck to the table and slice it right in front of us, but no, they will slice it in the kitchen or table in the corner of the room. We dined in the patio and it was excellent. Very nice waitress but did not speak english.. At all... Hello, hello.. Is all they know... Hehe. Overall experience...

Lived in Beijing for 4years, great place to eat when you want and if you're a group of 6+ people or if you have friends visiting. I highly recommend to book in advance to have a table in the garden if you go there in rush hours or you'll wait a really ling time. Please insist to have it in the garden when booking! Al pomeriggio il servizio inizia alle 17, siamo arrivati mezz’ora prima per prenotarci perché il ristorante è sempre affollato e c’è da aspettare un po’. L’anatra arrosto alla pechinese è buona, con pelle croccante e carne delicata e morbida. Onestamente una anatra per quattro persone è stata pochina. Abbiamo preso anche del maiale saltato con verdure accompagnato da ‘pancake’ di sfoglia, molto buoni. E dei bocconcini di manzo, teneri, saltati con spezie (che però dopo due settimane di Cina mi avevano un po’ stancato). Anche broccoletti saltati. Volendo c’è anche molto altro, dall’agnello ai gamberetti, dalla tartaruga al pescecane… I dolci sono molto lontani dai nostri, prendeteli solo se volete assaggiare qualcosa di diverso dal solito, ma non incontrano il gusto italiano.
