What an amazing place! If you like good, tasty food with no fuss, this is the place for you. Everything we ate was more than good except for the deep-fried squid, which was spectacular, and the burdock salad which was a completely new experience for me and one I will definitely repeat, so tasty. From the outside, it looks a little daunting for those unable to use Chinese because almost everything you see is in Chinese. Even the name of the place is not translated. But nothing to worry about. Once you get to the table, scan the QR code and you get a Chinese/English menu. Within literally 5 minutes of ordering, the dishes started arriving. This is definitely not the place for a romantic dinner where you gaze into each others eyes and whisper sweet words. The place was buzzing with excitement. Everyone was clearly enjoying the food and the company of their friends and family. The staff are fast but friendly and speak really good English. I have been to similar eating places in Taiwan and this is very authentic except the food is even better. I will definitely be returning. When I do return, I am going to pay more attention to timing. On this visit, we waited a full half hour before getting a place. I'm not usually that patient. More than 15 minutes and I move on. But my wife was insistent that it would be worth the wait and she was right. But I still don't like waiting so long. Next time, I'll get the ticket first and then do some window shopping, or check google for a less busy time (if such a thing even exists for such a gem as this). I can't help thinking that by writing this glowing review I'm going to make the wait time even longer. But I can't help it. These guys have done an amazing job and deserve all the success they can get.

I went here for dinner 2 days ago. I really really LOVE their 黑糖珍珠鮮奶, and I recommend it 100% if you are buying it for kids or don’t want to drink stuff with tea (unlike 珍珠奶茶). The drink has a amazing taste of fresh brown sugar and it has a burst of sweetness. I also really love their egg rolls, the only downside is too much saltiness. If you don’t really understand mandarin, you should come here a little bit prepared as most of the waiters speak mandarin. Their menu is also fully chinese with no english translation. Although the food is delicious and the restaurant has a taiwanese feel, the staff service was not very good. One of the staff there was impolite and rude to us as we tried to explain that the boba took too long when they have stated it would be made in less than 5 minutes, which was very disappointing. Overall, this is the best place in my opinion to buy the brown sugar fresh milk boba because of the burst of freshness and sweetness you get from the drink, but the staff really need to improve their customer service attitudes.

We were unbelievably lucky to stumble across this Taiwanese gem of a restaurant with literally a table available for two (there is usually a 30-minute wait). Daunted at first, until we spotted the QR code and then started to order some very authentically unusual side dishes (Burdock Salad is a must, Black Fungus in vinaigrette is fresh and deliciously pickled and the fried chicken is succulent with a crispy flavoured batter. We opted to try the braised beef rice and the pork belly noodles, both of which were good portions and very delightful in their rich taste. The whole experience is great to revel in, with basic stools and tables where the wait-staff will park up your meals in a matter of minutes. The vibe is very lively and the open kitchen layout is great to watch. Definitely makes for a more interesting evening out, but I would say opt for midweek as weekends can get quite hectic and they turn over tables quite quickly.

When Taiwanese street food meets Michelin recognition, the result is astonishing. Arrived early on a weekday for lunch and got seated right away. We tried a number of dishes and they were all highly authenticated and beyond expectations. My personal favorites were chicken roll (雞捲) with the right kind of dipping sauce, the collagen-overlfow-melt-in-your-mouth braised pork rice, and the crispy popcorn chicken (鹽酥雞). I would suggest to order the "original" braised pork rice (滷肉飯) over their "signature" braised pork rice (阿元滷肉飯). The reason is because both uses the same braised pork stew, but the differences are that with the extra $8, you get a piece of pickle, two baby bok choy, half an egg, but a little less pork sauce. Staffs were friendly and efficient; food was all fairly-priced and best of all, there was no service charge. In my opinion, they are one of if not the best Taiwanese restaurant in Hong Kong.

Food: Ordered 焢肉飯 for $49. The portion was quite small for a guy. The food quality was fine and each bite tasted quite delectable after you mix everything. However, it would be great if the drinks could be free, or a few dollars. Their canned coke is $15, which is absolutely ludicrous for a non-high-end restaurant, considering how I can buy them for less than half the price outside. Also it didn't have enough side dish choices or addons for me to increase the portion size. Service: The food was served within 2 minutes, which was shocking. I don't know how they pull this off... The staff gave us an extra chair to place our belongings, which is very considerate. Atmosphere: It's okay-spacious, but a bit cramped in some places. Okay vibes.

We went there around 11:15am and no queue. We ordered a bowl of rice, noodles and the fried chicken with plum powder. Rice: The portion is quite okay for a $30 sth bowl of rice, I would order a the $40sth one next time as this portion is not enough for me. The tasty is real good with no MSG (I do not feel thirsty afterwards) Noodles: It is so so, my husband said he cannot tell it is a taiwanese noodles.. just like a normal bowl of noodles. Chicken: it was good! Crispy outside a d tender inside, the plum taste makes it special. You are required to finish you meal in 45 mins. It is doable as it served fast. We left around 11:45am and the line was long as usual. Will dine again there if no long queue is required.
