Dear All I was in this restaurant on 5 May for my birthday. After reading all so called comments especially with open rice. I gave it a try. I was so so disappointed with the quality of the food as well as the pricing. Started with a hot water with coriander and a piece of thousand egg. 98 dollars, for god sake coriander is not coriander, I believed the hot pot base cost not more than 5 dollars. Never mind, we started our order, their main dish, beef, I picked the local fat beef, 228 dollars, as chewy as flip flop. Then the lady asked us to pay more for the local beef ribs which is 288 dollars. I deliberately did not finish them as it was just like the hot pot from any restaurant which you can pay as minimum as 98 dollars for all you can eat. The rest of the dish you guys pay more attention on it. Fish belly (88 dollars) Frozen bean curd (32 dollars) Bean Curd Sheet (32 dollars) Fried fish skin (50 dollars) a can of one litre Asahi (40 dollars) they don't even serve draft beer. All together ending up the bill 741 dollars. Two of us finished the diner 40 minutes. And its supposed to be my birthday diner. I will never ever forget about it. May God bless those who paid to write good stuff about this kind of restaurant as you guys really ruin...

Taste: In terms of taste, the food is good. Their beef is tender. I personally like their sour plum drink. However, for the vegetables, my wife found two tiny caterpillar in it. Kind of revolting when we see that. But no choice. Cant expect much about food hygiene especially i am not in singapore. Their meat ball and fish ball are made. So the texture is firmer than those you bought from supermarket.

Price: the price is overkill in my kind opinion. Two person dine in cost 1038 hkd. Equal to 188 sgd. I am shocked by the total cost. After two days in HK, the cost of living is on par as HK is consider a developed city. For those who dont care about price, can definitely give this place a try. The cheapest beef is 78hkd a dish while the only pork slice they have is 118hkd. So the price is kind of ex. No... Is very ex. Haha.

Service: the uncle who serve us is very friendly. Introduce some food and brief us on how can we order.

Overall, kind of regret eating here due to the price. But since is the first above average food i have eaten since i touch down in HK, i am still ok. Wallet burn a big hole because even in SG, with prices like this, i can go a fine...

They had great fishballs! It tasted like it was freshly made. Pricey on the raw meats but it's still good. Its fun cooking when you're a lot. I just found this place through Google and I think you can do reservations but luckily we could walk in and we were 8 people in a group. We were seated less than a minute. If you're a tourist, it's the green sign that sticks out of the building and you have to go up 2 or 3 flights up of stairs but they're not big stairs so it's great. It feels hidden but theres a lot of people who come by when we were there around 8 to 9pm. I would come by again :) the servers can understand english and the food comes...

Really fresh ingredients and nice soup base too. The barley lemon drink was refreshing and matched nicely with hot pot! The beef was very soft and after cooked to medium rare, the beef was so delicious. The ducks blood was not as flavorful as others I’ve had before but it had a good consistency. The oysters were really good! Thanks for a great evening and hope to come again soon.
