I was walking through Causeway Bay today and happened to come across this brand new bakery opposite the World Trade Center that resembles one of these Bakehouse dupes! Orchid Padaria Bakery is a bakery that Hong Kongers know for a long time. It continues to make and bake all bread and pastries by hand, retaining the local characteristics of Hong Kong, and upholds the innovation of Hong Kong-style baking culture. This new concept store aims to combine the traditional craftsmanship with modern Hong Kong bakery trends to continue to provide its loyal followers with hand-made classic and delicious buns.
In addition to releasing a series of new bread styles, they are baked fresh and hot every day. There is also a limited-time "Opening Offer" where one can purchase three mini croissants or pineapple buns for $52!
I tried the following two breads: Tiramisu veal horn $22 Sesame Mochi Pineapple Bun $20
Both breads are on the sweet side. I like the pineapple buns with sesame connotations, and the mochi buns are also very soft and glutinous. It's a pity that the price is really not cheap, especially since their buns are very small! I really hope they can try adjusting their price...
