For years and years, I have been recommended by expats to try this place. A few weeks ago I walked past and peeped into the shop and an expat who was dining there said I should go in and try. Finally tried it one afternoon because I was in the area. The menu was simple, the usual Thai stuff. Anyway, I tried the chicken satay because it was recommended. The chicken was fresh but the lemongrass was too strong for me and the sauce was too sweet. Although not as good as expected, they put effort into their food and grilling the satays.

The food tasted and felt homemade, which is good for me cos its comforting. But I was expecting the Tom Yam to have coconut milk and mushrooms. And the Pad Kra Pao didn’t have the umami. I would’ve also preferred my sunny side up to have toasted edges to go with the runny yolk. But the waitress was very gracious. I’d give her that.

This restaurant recently reopened in a new location. Very nice service and nice atmosphere. I took my food to go. It was a very nice presentation and the food was very tasty. I’d go back for seconds! I ordered the Phad Thai, Green Chicken Curry and the Chicken Satay. They were all very nice.

If you can’t deliver, don’t make false promises. Waiting 1hour and 17mins to be exact is not a joke. Specially when you’ve paid in advance. It was surely my last visit yesterday after a very arrogant and disgraceful behaviour by the only lady at the shop. Be grateful for the money that we customers pay you for your service. How is 45 mins wait as promised, change to 50 mins which changes to 1 hour 17 mins OK in any business undergoing???? And to act with such a pathetic attitude towards a already frustrated customer defines you just have no idea how to run a business. It’s called hospitality. 14 years in business and still using two induction to cook tells me the whole business structure. Not to forget the grease that’s dripping out of your shop. Do yourself a favour and start cleaning it. And next time when you can’t fulfill the rush, be a little courteous with a smile and see how you could prevent such reviews. Hope someone is reading it.

Some of the best Thai food are these hole in the wall restaurants in HK. The food here is generally quite good but the taste quality really varies from dish to dish. Some are really great and others I think are pretty average or in Hk speak ok la. Price is quite cheap though and you can easily have a meal here for under 100 hkd per person.

Food: 3.75 stars Value: 4.25 stars Service/environment: 3 stars Recommendations: pork collar, pad kraw, Thai sausage

The best thing I tried here is the pork collar. This is really exceptional. The cooking on the grill gives it a nice bbq flavor and the sauce it pairs with is great. The Thai sausage and pad kraaw are also quite good and worth having. The fresh coconut was as very nice while the Thai iced tea was too sweet...

It has moved. It is next door to the real estate agent and across from the wellcome supermarket on kam Hong street. Closer to Java road

The place is small. Only four tables. And an open kitchen so you can see what is happening

Food is nice. Tried the pork neck and the green papaya salad. They do have an English / Chinese / canto menu and the staff spoke Cantonese predominantly. They also spoke a passable English - enough to get the order right.

Reasonable price and authentic tasting. Right balance of sweet, sour, salty, spicy. Not a fancy place but it does well for what it is.

It can take a while to cook. 20 minute wait for pork neck and salad. Went for a walk around the neighbourhood. Only one counter staff and...
