Boon — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Kwun Tong is populated with industrial buildings, and thus cafes of various styles. Boon is a relatively new one in the hood, and it’s a really nice one that I would recommend you to give it a try if your are doing your food hunting in the hood.

My friend and I ordered a risotto and a meat to share for Sunday lunch. Since we don’t usually get halibut with risotto, we decided to give it a try and it was absolutely delightful! The torched halibut was so fresh with a nice fish flavor, and the torched cooking method made it even more enjoyable with a slight charcoal flavor. Nom nom! The risotto was very yummy with fresh asparagus pieces in it.

We also ordered this seared Kamikomi Pork Loin with braised vegetables in black garlic sauce. Our only complain was that the dish wasn’t served hot (nor room temperature), probably due to the location of kitchen, which is somewhere outside the restaurant, and the staff are apparently quite new in their jobs. The pork loin itself was very, very delicious, great portion of fat and meat; very flavored also!

Definitely coming back to try out the delicious looking...

A dinner table for 2 next to the window. Cozy and quiet even on a public holiday. Woody decor with a sense of european and japanese blend.

Ordered the 5-course dinner set.

Soup was lobster and crab. Pretty sure it was homemade as the initial flavour is strong and the after taste is light.

The cheese goes well with the garlic. The bread balanced them all.

Steak was medium well and perfectly handled. Sides are juicy and aromatic.

Prawn linguine was was okay. The urchin sauce was fresh and carrying a little sea-water saltiness.

Dessert is the toast. 100% recommended. Pretty sure the vanilla ice is handmade. The toast soft and scrumptious.

We also ordered a pistachio milkshake. Also recommended. Very flavourful and nutty without heavy aftertaste.

【觀塘】⭐工廈Café好味日法Fusion菜⭐

餐廳【Boon】位於觀塘一棟工廠大廈內，餐廳環境裝飾用上很多乾花作點綴，舒適簡約的環境給人清新的感覺😍。餐廳菜式以法式菜為主，加入日式元素。餐廳地方不大，只有數張餐枱，所以最好先行預約訂位💪。

而招牌封門柳肉質味道亦有驚喜🤩，不說不知，原來每隻牛只有一小條封門柳，所以十分矜貴，絕對是食家品嚐之選。虎蝦海膽醬意粉亦很入味，這餐廳值得一試😋~

賣相非常吸引用上美國的封門柳，不但色澤鮮嫩，熟成度亦剛剛好，肉紋看似有點粗厚，但入口肉質軟淋👍，牛味濃郁而不韌，牛肉邊位焦香脆口，配上昆布牛油汁，口感特別。配菜有香滑牛油味薯蓉🥔，薯蓉加入了紫菜，所以味道不會太過單調，而椰菜花🥦跟清甜小洋蔥🧅仔作點綴，感覺味道清新，略嫌封門柳份量偏少，有點到喉不到肺的感覺，如果可以有多兩塊就完美了😂…哈哈

🦐【虎蝦海膽醬意粉】(Lunch set $128) Seared Tiger Prawn Spaghetti with Creamy Sea Urchin Sauce

意粉麵質軟硬度剛剛好，非常彈牙，海膽醬汁很香，雖然醬汁不是很多，但每條意粉都顯得非常入味👍。賣相有趣的虎蝦亦不過不失，還有其他蝦伴碟，初初在網上看食評時，以為這碟意粉份量不多，但原來碟是凹入去🤭，所以份量十分足料，不怕不飽肚，意粉令人回味😋。

🥣【忌廉磨菇湯】 Cream of Mushroom Soup (With Lunch set ) 磨菇湯內有磨菇碎粒，味道口感都不錯。

🍫【諾曼第朱古力撻】 Chocolate Tart(Lunch set +$18)

撻內有濃濃朱古力，但味道卻不會太甜，不甜膩，不錯~
