We had to try the famous stinky tofu during our visit to Hong Kong. This small street stall sells a bunch of different street foods on sticks including the stinky tofu (10 HKD). There is a table set up next to it with different sauces for flavoring purposes. The smell is as pungent as you think it is and it’s not pleasant, but the tofu itself doesn’t smell that strong. The exterior is very crispy and pleasant and the interior is soft. It definitely doesn’t taste as bad as it smells, but the after taste does remind you of it, which is why I wasn’t a fan. We didn’t try any of the other offerings so I can’t comment on those. #stinkytofu #hongkongstreetfood

We tried the stinky tofu, the intestines, and curry fish ball skewers. All are really good. The stinky tofu and intestines are hit by the way. I love how the tofu was so crispy and the taste is great. For the intestines, I didn't expect the skin to be crispy as well and I must say wow. We even have to buy the second one for all of them. It was a rainy day and the experience eating these under the rain is worth it.

Not many Stinky Tofu left in HK anymore. If you want to try, you may need to visit this popular stall. Very local style of preparation and may not suit tourists by the look of the shop and its preparation style BUT if you want to try the genuine stuff, that's want it is. It's an acquired taste and I love it. Don't forget to put the sweet chili space in the tofu! Yummy 😋

It's overrated. Too much hype over the blogs but it wasn't as expected. Tofu was bland. You need to add flavor using about 5 or 6 sauces on the side. And if you don't know how the sauces taste like, you'll end up eating an overly salty or overly sweet tofu. It doesn't look hygienic as well. The better tasting food is the fried intestine but it isn't healthy. If you really want to have a taste of what they serve, you need not travel far. Find one near your area, there must be one. The train ride costs more...
