Bread is a Japanese style artisanal bakery serving a wide variety of bagels, toasts and pretzels. If you are a fan of flavors like matcha, pistachio and black sesame, you will have a hard time choosing what to get. Their bread is also healthy, low-oil and low-sugar, and vegan friendly.

＊Pineapple Bagel 菠蘿貝果 A fun twist of hk pineapple bun! The bagel is nicely coated with the crackled golden cookie crust. Their japanese style bagel’s texture is different from NY bagel — it is softer, fluffier and chewier. Highly recommend reheating it in oven/air fryer for the best texture.

＊Matcha Bagel 抹茶奶酥貝果 They use uji matcha powder, giving the bagel a bright green color. There is matcha flavored butter cookie (奶酥) stuffed in the bagel. A bittersweet delight for matcha lovers.

＊Black Sesame Pretzel Stick 黑芝麻鹼水棒 I’ve never seen a pretzel stick before and I was overjoyed to spot a black sesame flavored one. The interior is beautifully swirled with black sesame paste. Love the chewiness of the pretzel and the earthiness of the black sesame.

Seems like their jelly series is a must try too and jellycat versions are so cute!! Many bread are sold out when I entered, advice to go early for more selection! A heaven for bagel or bread lover 🫶🏻💝

Small but lovely bakery in Mongkok! I love that they have so many low carb healthier options and they are most famed for their pistachio offerings and I was most enticed by the Black Sugar Mochi Toast (Anything mochi? Count me in..)

Definitely give it a visit when you’re in the area. The place is so tiny it’s easy to miss so look out...
