The food is scrumptious and consistent level each time I have a meal in this restaurant. However the service is appalling terrible being chased out by a rude waiter for over staying our 1.5 hour limit when there is visibly no one waiting for tables outside and many tables still empty. Our dessert order was incorrectly executed and we had to wait for the correct one to be prepared and we hardly had the time to finish eating , our waiter rudely told us to leave as we over stayed our time then he returned to tell us off there were many people waiting.

Usually I let things go but I had guests from abroad and when we went to the entrance it was empty of no one waiting for tables. I had to tell the manager and not only did we relay the whole incident, simple question is how would you feel if you (the manager) or the owner of the restaurant weโ€™re treated like this!

This is a service industry that relies on building relationship with customers. I doubt this restaurant understand the basic of politeness , kindness, treating customers with respect.

Not a place I will ever return! What a shame as the food...

Very good Shanghainese cuisine at the heart of Tain Sha Tsui. Ordered the tasting menu (around mid of $500 with the tea charge and service charge) for the happy father day dinner. The location, deco, foods and services are excellent. I particularly like the shrimp (full of top grade soy sauce scent) and the pan fried dumplings (pork, shrimp and sea cucumber fillings, crispy base and soft on top). Just a small complaint on the dessert. The canned assorted fruit tasted really bad on the almond bean curd. But on a whole, still a very decent place for Shanghainese dishes at reasonable price.

While competently prepared, the hairy crab roe was too subtle, making it rather ordinary compared to their more distinguished counterparts.

Very good Shanghainese cuisine at the heart of Tain Sha Tsui. Ordered the tasting menu (around mid of $500 with the tea charge and service charge) for the happy father day dinner. The location, deco, foods and services are excellent. I particularly like the shrimp (full of top grade soy sauce scent) and the pan fried dumplings (pork, shrimp and sea cucumber fillings, crispy base and soft on top). Just a small complaint on the dessert. The canned assorted fruit tasted really bad on the almond bean curd. But on a whole, still a very decent place for Shanghainese dishes at reasonable price.
