Veggie Kingdom is an absolute vegan dim sum paradise. This restaurant offers a wide variety of vegan dim sum options that are sure to impress even the most discerning palates.
One of the highlights of the menu at Veggie Kingdom is their vegan shrimp dumplings. These dumplings were incredibly flavorful and had a texture that was very similar to traditional shrimp dumplings. The wrapper were thin and made to order. It was a true testament to the skill and creativity of the chefs to create such a delicious alternative.
Another standout dish was the gold rim veggie dumplings. These dumplings were not only visually stunning but also had a delightful combination of flavors. The filling was packed with a medley of vegetables that made each bite a true delight.
The steam mushroom rice rolls, and they were simply divine. The delicate rice rolls were filled with tender mushrooms and accompanied by a delectable sauce that added a burst of flavor to each bite.
However, the real stars of the meal were the shrimp toast and the radish puff pastry. The shrimp toast had a crispy exterior, complemented by a savory and satisfying filling with vegan mayo at the bottom. The radish puff pastry, on the other hand, had a flaky crust, and the radish filling was rich and flavorful. These dishes were definite winners and left a lasting impression.
Overall, Veggie Kingdom is a haven for vegan dim sum lovers. With its wide variety of options and superb execution, this restaurant sets a new standard for vegan cuisine. Whether you're a vegan looking for a delicious and satisfying meal or simply want to explore the world of plant-based dim sum, Veggie Kingdom is a must-visit destination...
Read moreI must say, we heard good reviews about this vegetarian restaurant and had mid-high expectations. After being disappointed by many other vegetarian places here in HK during our visit, we'd hoped for something encouraging...but disappointed once more. SERVICE: The Indian host asked if we had a reservation, we replied no and he simply walked away ignoring us. Then another, a Chinese host POINTED to a booth for us to sit. Right after, the first thing he said - rather rudely, we have to leave at 12:30pm. We understand a restaurant needs a turnaround but it's almost as if it came across as a warning. A server was dragging his shoes the whole time on the wooden floor and everyone can hear which they didn't care. The entire staff was sending the EAT and GO vibe. The server just handed us the dish on the side and walked away. FOOD: They only gave us the DimSum ordering menu when we asked for it, I believe they wanted us to order dishes instead. The food quality is nothing really to write home about but wasn't terrible. The overall dim sum is average but the spring roll rice noodle was memorable. PRICE: I would classify it as fair due to the TST district, but the service really killed it. OVERALL: We did finally manage to receive a THANK YOU only after we paid before 12:30 and gave a tip. Not worth...
Read moreDuring our travels across Asia, we rarely had such an exceptional dining experience. As European vegetarians, finding authentic traditional cuisine wasn’t always easy, but this restaurant exceeded all expectations. Despite the busy Chinese New Year, the service was outstanding. The manager was incredibly accommodating, seating us promptly even though we had no reservation and personally guiding us through the menu. He and the staff checked in regularly to ensure everything was perfect. Every dish we tried was exceptional in both taste and portion size. Even those unfamiliar with chopsticks are immediately offered a knife and fork. A must-visit for everyone—even meat lovers! A true testament to how well traditional meat dishes can be replaced by plantbased versions. Note: The restaurant is located upstairs and accessible via an elevator and a reservation is clearly...
