Very poor quality of food 😢😕😐 Disappointed 😞 After sometime We decided to try this restaurant hearing about from a friend. But we regretted the decision. The place looks good from outside. but maintenance is poor. Understaffed. Washing dishes and washing hands basin was dirty. It took ages to get our order. Parotta was NOT well cooked and Sambar was cold OUT of refrigerator chicken we ordered was rubbery n oily and too spicy. Fish and Popular meals were tasteless. I don't think new chettinad food is like what I have tasted Indian food from other place around. It was simply POOR QUALITY POOR SERVICE Too expensive for the taste n quality.

Read more繼續重慶森林美食之旅。喺去食Karaikudi Akka嗰陣,經過地下走廊見到有好多間地道南亞theme嘅食肆,好多間到好想去試,而呢間就係第一間我最想去,係因為佢個名Chettinad,應該同附近寶勒巷嘅名店Anjappar Chettinad一樣,都係啲好地道嘅南印度餐廳,所以臨近週末一於嚟試吓。
同Karaikudi Akka一樣,呢度走廊一邊係開放式包房,對面就係厨房同食品counter,連埋一啲走廊位可以坐到20幾人左右。顧客除咗大厦嘅住客同鄉里之外,亦見有唔少backpacker,遊客同本地客都嚟幫襯,證明呢度係有一定嘅知名度。
主打以Chettinad cuisine為主嘅南印度菜式,除咗Dosa(煎米餅),Idli(蒸米糕),Vada(炸米donut)呢的基本南印度食品之外,啲好地道嘅Chettinad菜式好似Chukka,Chilli Fry等等都有供應,最正嘅係叫個單餸再加少少錢就有個Thali set,包埋飯同4餸1湯,超抵食😄。一於睇吓呢度同Anjappar Chettinad有冇得揮先:
(Egg) Kalaki - 係南印度式炒滑蛋。口感比平時食開嘅西式炒滑蛋較為鬆散,蛋汁比較多啲,同埋有羊葱粒同香料做餡,口感豐富又spicy,送飯送飽一流,我鍾意。🙂😃😋👍👍
Beef Chukka - 南印度式嘅香料煮牛肉,個乾汁feel有啲似印尼嘅巴東牛肉,但就冇後者嘅椰奶味,而係好濃厚同spicy嘅純香料乾汁;牛肉雖然唔淋,有咬口,係正宗嘅Chukka煮法,口感係豐富而濃烈,配埋的Ghee Rice嘅撈飯食真係好好味。🙂😍😋😋👍👍
Thali set - 加少少錢就有嘅套餐set,包括 Ghee Rice,4餸 (4小兜) 1湯同埋1份咖喱汁,非常豐富,逐個評價:
Ghee Rice - 南印度嘅有味飯,米係近乎Basmati嘅長身飯,Ghee (酥油)幾香吓又唔會太油膩,加入咗唔少芥籽同黑胡椒一齊煮,有獨特嘅spice味,撈埋啲Chukka或者係Egg Kalaki食非常好味。🙂😋😋👍👍
Rasam (南印度酸湯) - 同其他南印度舖啲Rasam比較,呢度個Rasam冇咁酸,而啲湯底材料好似蕃茄同扁豆非常豐足,而且好spicy,愈食啲香料味同辣味出哂嚟,正呀!🙂😃😍😋👍
Curry sauce (咖喱汁) - 唔知道係嚟自邊隻咖喱,但個汁好濃郁好spicy,應該係來由牛肉或者羊肉一類嘅咖喱,呢個汁用嚟撈Ghee Rice食又係好正。🙂😋😋👍👍
Masala Potato (香料薯仔) - 冇想像中咁spicy,比起其他餸菜佢幾温醇,無乜濃味,唔錯。🙂😋👍
Dal Tadka (香料煮扁豆蓉) - 比一般印度鋪嘅Dal更濃味同spicy,送飯佳品,我鍾意。🙂😋👍👍
Channa Masala (香料煮鷹咀豆) - 比北印度菜嘅Channa多汁,冇咁spicy同埋口感滑漏好多,送飽送飯都咁正。🙂😋👍
Gobi Matar (香料煮青豆椰菜花) - 口感豐富,香料味温和,送飯之選。🙂😋👍
總體上,呢個Thali set嘅每樣食品都好好味,係好出色嘅附加套餐item。🙂😃😋😋👍👍
