TOURIST BEWARE!!! The food was alright but other restaurants definitely sell the same offerings and I advise to go there instead since this is my first review I have ever wrote about anything because I had super strong emotions that day. Literally saw this location franchise everywhere and decided to go in one day during my trip to try the restaurant. I went in and greeter at the door was super friendly and told me where to seat. When it came to taking my order, it was super disorganized where I had to wave down the waiter where he put his hand up to my face and kept walking. He eventually came back and I pointed on the menu what I wanted due to the language barrier. He asked me a question and when I responded in English, he laughed and walked off asking the other waiter to take my order. She also laughed and followed him. Luckily, the person I was sitting across from saw me super frustrated as I was about to cry and asked me what I wanted. When they finally got someone who look like a manager to come out, the person across from me happened to order for me to diffuse the situation. I’m super thankful for her! Then, when it came to paying, the cashier happen to throw the remaining change back to my face. The other comments above regarding being treated horribly for not being able to speak Cantonese or mandarin. PLEASE AVOID IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR...
Read moreDelicious goodness. Lots of reviews on bad service but that is the way of life in a chachaanteng. It’s meant to be in and out. Fair it’s a bit overwhelming if you don’t speak canto but you can point to the pics in the English menu and hopefully the below is helpful :D
The flow of going to a CCT: Get sat, don’t try to negotiate a better seat and take what you are given DO NOT drink the water they give you in the plastic see through cup . That’s for washing your utensils. They are located on the pull out drawer on the side of your table 3 Flag down your waiter and point to items required if you don’t speak canto. Usually what you order includes a drink for free. This does not include the bakery items. Eat and enjoy Pay - it’s cash only. You need to bring your little ticket/receipt to the till at the front to pay
The only things that need to be eaten here are:
Pineapple bun with butter Crispy and warm and cold butter inside - this is so good
Egg tart Not bad here but only really delicious when warm
Baked pork chop rice - this is pretty good
If you come for breakfast the satay beef with...
Read moreyou have to start getting used to the character of the city/people here: fast work, no small talk 😁 even though tourists will usually slowly look at the menu first, asking for details because of the different languages and sometimes the menu book is also less clear/detailed whereas we want an order that suits our wishes 😔☺ the easiest thing is to ask what the specials are here, and even then it's often not answered well maybe because of the language or character of the people here 🤣 sometimes thank God there are workers who are quite fluent in English and patient in explaining 🙏 we come on Tea Time (around 2 o'clock) was very busy because the information was that prices were quite cheap at that time 😍 we ordered (hopefully this is the best): french toast, fried noodles, burgers and tea and coffee of course and fortunately they were all delicious 👏👏 overall, worth it especially with price 👍👍 but here you have to be...
