🍲 Mui Kee Cookfood Stall 妹記大牌檔 – HK Dinner Feast

This wasn’t just dinner — it was full-on Hong Kong dai pai dong culture, with a twist. At Mui Kee, you still get the noisy, hearty, big-plate energy of a street stall, but in a comfortable air-conditioned environment — a welcome escape from the summer evening heat.

Our spread: • 脆皮炸猪手 – Crispy deep-fried pork knuckle • 豉油皇炒面 – Soy sauce king fried noodles (rich wok hei, simple but deeply satisfying) • 黑椒马铃薯仔牛柳粒 – Black pepper beef cubes with potato • 上汤豆苗 – Pea shoots in superior broth • 咸蛋黄鱼皮 – Salted egg yolk fish skin (crispy, addictive, perfect with beer) • 蒜蓉粉丝蒸扇贝 – Steamed scallops with garlic & vermicelli

We drank beer in bowls 🍺, laughed over the clatter of plates, and were pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly service — not something you always expect in HK.

The bill for three of us, including four bottles of beer, came to around HKD1,000 (≈ MYR600). For the quality, portions, and atmosphere, it felt like good value.

Crowds, comfort, big flavours, and bowls of beer — this is dai pai dong dining, the Hong Kong way.

hk is good place for food. everytime i change my job, i will always find good food nearby. expecially around tst. full of ppl tourist and good food.

this time is 妹記， last time is 金妹記。 i dont know who is copying whos fame but both of time serve similar food dai pai dong. very tradidional hk style wok air food with again 48$ !!!!!

48$ is super cheap at tst. without +1 , super cheap with such freshly made food.

will come back although is a little bit far. ps. their staff is too friendly love to chat with us. happy lunch
