Let's begin with the atmosphere. The location's atmosphere was a mess. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with 2019's top 100 pop hits playing in the background, followed by confused decoration that screams 'beach grill party' with a dash of modern simplicity to spice things up. The lighting sat in a twilight zone of being neither quite dark enough nor bright enough, creating a muddy lighting atmosphere. Finally, the placement mats were terrible. For a restaurant that seemingly wants to be serious, their placement mats were paper with their menu printed on it. Not exactly fancy. To say the least, the atmosphere was anxiety inducing.
Service was subpar. For the price you're paying, you deserve much better. The staff was attentive but not engaging. Not once did they ask if the food was alright. There are plenty of restaurants in Hong Kong with much better service for a much smaller price tag.
Now let's get to the food. It was extremely disappointing . My girlfriend and I ordered a set dinner menu, two a-la-carte items, and two drinks for 893 HKD. We ordered the Parma Ham Quinoa Salad, the Angus Ribeye Steak, the Beef Cheek, the Truffle Fries, and a Blueberry Cheese Cake (supposedly the cake of the day).
The Parma Ham Quinoa Salad was what you would expect a salad to be if you ordered it in airline economy seating. There was two strips of parma ham, a teaspoon of quinoa, and a tonne of vinaigrette with mixed veggies. Come to think of it, the Cathay Pacific quinoa salad tastes much better than this mess. This dish was way out of balance. From my understanding, the chef probably doused the vegetables in vinaigrette understanding that, if not, the salad would have no flavours.
The Angus Rib Eye was alright, nothing special. The chef couldn't get medium rare correct, and the steak came out cold. I don't think it's worth its set dinner price of $408 at all. The black truffle potato puree, the chimichurri, and the red wine beef jus were a let down. The black truffle puree tasted like instant mash potato, with the slightest hint of truffle flavouring, and the chimichurri and red wine beef jus tasted like it came out of the storage.
The beef cheek was much better than the steak, but you can't really go wrong with beef cheek. Still nothing special. There were no unique flavours, the only flavour in the palette was degrees of saltiness.
The Truffle Fries were by far the most disappointing truffle fries I've had. To be fair it was $48 dollars but still it was disappointing. McDonald's does a better truffle fries with their shake shake powder than this place. There was basically no truffle flavour in the fries at all. Not to mention, the truffle fries were paired with ketchup. Whatever truffle flavour there was with their fries were annihilated the moment they were paired with ketchup. My suggestion to the Grill Room is, please rename the dish to just 'Fries'. That way you will be disappointing less people.
Finally, there's the cheesecake. Again, lacklustre. Probably not made in-house. Not very fresh for a 'cake of the day'.
Overall, very disappointed. Would not suggest this restaurant if you take food seriously, or if you take your money seriously. If you're looking to throw some money into the sea, you could come here.
If you want a better experience for a similar price I would rather you go visit Hue in the Hong Kong Museum of Art. If you want a similar experience for a cheaper price, you're better off going to your local Pokka Cafe, at least your expectations will...

I have been to the restaurant "The Grill Room" in Causeway Bay. I am very fond of this restaurant. I am going to the Zuo Tsim Sha Tsui branch this time. It is more romantic than Causeway Bay. The decoration is mainly white gold. It is very comfortable. There are not many people at lunch time. It is not clean. It will be good for you. Today, my sister and my sister were buried together to open the meal. The clerk was very careful. When I saw my BB, I arranged for me to sit in the Sofa position and offered the children's tableware. "The Grill Room" lunch price is from $65-$98, and you can add money to salads, soups, desserts and meals. The price is reasonable and you can choose. I have three staple foods, "Black Truffle Mushroom Spaghetti $68", "Spicy Fish Fillet with Tomato Cucumber Salsa $82" and "8 oz Eye meat with Potato Chips Vegetable $98", plus $15 with pumpkin Meal soup, all the staple foods in my land are shared, there are fish, meat, and spaghetti, it must be full. "Pumpkin Cream Soup @$15 with Meal" The pumpkin is super thick, the pumpkin is smooth and has a taste, and the serving size is also small. There is a toast on the side of the soup plate. 『Black truffle mushroom spaghetti $68』 The most important thing is spaghetti! A black truffle sauce is fragrant and fragrant. The black truffle sauce is mixed with the mushrooms and stirred evenly. Each spaghetti is covered with sauce and is very rich. "Spicy fish fillet with tomato cucumber salsa $82" The main dish has a crispy fish skin, no mink and no meat, and the fish is so smooth. It feels like a delicious fish fillet in the restaurant. It seems to be fried and fried. The side dish is tomato cucumber and potato, and the tomato cucumber is cut into fine grains, which is good for appetizing. The potato can increase the feeling of fullness and match well. Personally think that the most attractive is "8 angs eye 扒 with potato wedges vegetable $98" The naked eye is only $98, the naked eye is seven mature, has a considerable thickness, full weight, and the beef is rich, hot and spicy, with gravy; the side dish is the same as the fried fish fillet, the same is tomato cucumber and potato. I finally added a "Baileys Chocolate Cake" for $15. The sale is quite attractive, Baileys has a lot of drinks, and the Baileys chocolate cake has not been tried, and it is unforgettable. The chocolate flavor is strong, the cake is smooth, the sauce is served with chocolate sauce, the thin pieces, the sputum will be too leaky, and the dessert is first-class. If you want to be forced by the same person and want to eat a lunch quietly, plus an atmosphere of emotion, you can...

As a first-time visitor, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional dining experience this restaurant had to offer. From the delectable food to the attentive service, The Grill Room exceeded our expectations in every way.
To start our meal, we indulged in the salmon tartare, which was an absolute delight. The tartare was beautifully seasoned, allowing the flavors of the fresh salmon to shine through. Served with crunchy bread, it provided a delightful contrast in textures, creating a harmonious blend of taste and mouthfeel.
For our mains, we opted for the rib eye steak, which turned out to be a generous portion perfect for the two of us to share. The steak was cooked to perfection, with a succulent and tender texture that showcased the chef's expertise. Each bite was bursting with flavor, leaving us thoroughly satisfied.
In addition to the steak, we decided to try the scallop linguine with salmon roe cooked in lobster bisque. This dish proved to be a true highlight of our meal. The combination of plump scallops, delicate linguine, and the rich lobster bisque created a symphony of flavors that danced on our palates. The touch of salmon roe added a delightful pop of brininess, elevating the dish to new heights.
One aspect that stood out during our visit was the impeccable service provided by the restaurant staff. The servers were not only friendly and welcoming but also efficient in attending to our needs. We were pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to wait in a queue, allowing us to enjoy our meal without any unnecessary delays.
The atmosphere at The Grill Room was another positive aspect of our dining experience. The restaurant exuded an inviting and peaceful ambiance, perfect for a relaxed and intimate meal. The quiet surroundings allowed us to have meaningful conversations while savoring the delicious food.
In conclusion, The Grill Room in Tsim Sha Tsui proved to be an excellent choice for a steak lover like my girlfriend. The salmon tartare was a delectable starter, and the rib eye steak was a substantial main course for two. The standout dish, however, was the scallop linguine with salmon roe in lobster bisque, which left a lasting impression with its exquisite flavors. The attentive service, pleasant atmosphere, and overall quality of the food make The Grill Room a must-visit restaurant for steak enthusiasts and those seeking a memorable...
