Nice decoration, decent restaurant with clean space and new furnitures. Good location (in City Gate Tung Chung). A lot of customers from different countries.
Bún Bò Huế was okay, quite plain in terms of spices and herbs. The beef slice was thick. I think it would be better if you cut the slice more thinly, which will make the bowl look fuller with toppings and also not to accidentally cause customers to choke while chewing and swallowing big pieces. The bowl was big, can be shared by 2 people if you are used to having small portions.
I came back another time to have Phở. Phở in here is indeed better in comparison with Bún Bò Huế because it has stronger smell of herbs and also good seasoning. Beef slices are still thick, again, it would be way better if chef cut them into thin slices. The bowl has a lot of Phở noodles, beef, and meat balls, which is a huge plus. I was completely full even though I only finished half way.
Price is acceptable, not too high considering the food quality, the space, location, and comparing to other foreign cuisine restaurants (I used to have ramen in Hong Kong, crazy expensive but they only serve 3 thin slices of pork and half an egg; and the other time I had Thai Tomyum in a nearby restaurant in Tung Chung, it was around the same price with Vietnamese Phở but that restaurant is way smaller, old furniture and they only put 1 shrimp inside the bowl). Since most of the foreign restaurants I visited in Hong Kong is overpriced, I believe this Nha Trang restaurant has a reasonable price for their food and space. Also be noted that there is a V.A.T charge in here. For eg, original price of 138 HKD on the menu will constitute to 154 HKD in total.
Overall, this is a pretty nice Vietnamese restaurant in Hong Kong in terms of food. However, service is not the same level. Male staffs were friendly and proactive.
But both female staffs (one young and short hair, the other one is middle aged with a low ponytail) came with a very cold face, no smile, stiff and strong voice, they act distant and make me always feel not welcome. When I entered the restaurant, the young short hair lady saw me, but she ignored the eye contact, didn’t ask me if I need a table for how many people. I walked inside and about to choose a random table for my own, but the other lady saw it and started to assign me another single table. She took my order with no smile. Most of the interactions I had with their female staffs, there barely a “thank you” from them. The only time I heard “thank you” is from a male staff sitting at the reception desk when I was leaving.
For female waitress (and cleaner), perhaps they had broken English which made it difficult for them to strike proper conversations, but the facial expressions tell a lot about how they value customers. This is crucial to the survival and growth of the restaurants. Food, location, cleanliness can be good but without a welcoming attitude of waitresses, we will properly not coming back. I read a lot of reviews from previous customers, seemed like they haven’t improved this aspect for a while.
What I don’t appreciate more is that they were serving in a rushing manner. Ladies are acting busy, walking fast, with a serious face, … stress customers out.
The restaurant closes at 9:30 PM, but not until 9: 30 PM that their staff printed the bill and put it on customers table. This might be a fixed serving culture in Hong Kong (I am not sure about this, anyone has experience please share), but it must be nicer and more polite if you wait until customers finish their meals and call for payment. Since the restaurant only had 2-3 tables with customers dining left, it would take absolutely no extra time to hang on until they decide to leave at 9:30 PM. So there is no point to come distributing the bill when people are still chewing food in...

Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit to your establishment. As an avid fan of Nha Trang cuisine in Hong Kong, I was deeply let down by my experience at your restaurant.
The pho I ordered had a distinct smell of bleach, which completely ruined the authentic flavors I have come to expect from Nha Trang-style pho. Additionally, the food did not seem to match the quality and authenticity I have enjoyed at your other locations around the city.
To top it off, the level of service I received was subpar, falling well short of the standards I would expect from a reputable Vietnamese restaurant.
I am truly sorry to have to provide such negative feedback, but felt it was important to make you aware of the issues I encountered during my visit. I hope you will take this feedback to heart and work to improve the overall dining experience at...
