Price: $80-100 per bowl of ramen
Overall decent food. This ramen shops serves shio and tonkatsu based ramen. The borth of the ramen is nice and rich, although it didn't leave a lasting impression on me (probs because I only had a sip). Also tried the mazesoba (日式撈麵)which is not as common in HK. While I liked the noodle texture a lot, I found the mazesoba to be too salty for me (the culprit is likely the ground meat underneath the egg). The restaurant also comes with jars of sauces and condiments for you to dress the noodles yourself. Their yuzu pepper is quite nice, unfortunately because the mazesoba was already too salty for me, I couldn't add more of it.
I came at 5:30pm so I was seated right away, but the restaurant was semi-full already. I noted the shop layout is a bit weird, if you are seated on the tip (closer to where people queued), the waitress might not hear you unless you shout. Also, they only have two waitresses for the entire place, so you need to be patient in waiting for the waitress to come around to help you. In any case the food arrive pretty quickly so I have...
Read more簡直是不敢相信的劣等服務. Insanely horrible service beyond any of my imagination. Treat customers like trash. Super duper impolite and not even the word 'please' or excuse me. They even have guts to order me around. And I was straight up furious. To the point I said nothing and gave up my quere position. Their food is expensive. Go up 2 floors there's a better ramen shop with way better service. I don't understand how others can tolerate such sorry place. And their business is damned good too. Wish others turn away from this shop and go to better ones. There's a hint. Look at the signs they put on their restaurants. Turned up they are as bad as those signs. If I could I will rate them negative stars. If you are looking for the same ramen shop, go to another one with the same name...
Read moreSmall lil ramen shop in CityGate but of pretty decent quality especially relative to its price. The ramen was of good texture, nicely bouncy and springy surrounded by its rich milky pork broth but had a sad amount of greens (so we ordered extra) but still satiating, topped with juicy slices of pork and bamboo shoots. The grilled eel was also extremely tender and glazed with a umami rich sauce with a decent side of spring onion slices and decorated with sesame seeds. We also ordered their side of yuzu cabbage which had the loveliest citrusy flavour drizzled in oil. Perfect place for a quick soul warming...
