Café&Meal MUJI — Restaurant in Kowloon

I had high hopes of Cafe & Meal Muji because there isn't a cafe at their LA branch, or at least the one at the Arcadia mall, not sure of the Beverly Hills one. Since it was my first time visiting the store, I decided to give their food a shot. I ordered their vegetarian pasta dish, garlic bread, and their matcha cheesecake as dessert. The pasta dish was trash, no flavor and the sauce was too watery. My favorite was actually the garlic bread and matcha cheesecake.

Besides the food, the store is beautifully arranged and decorated. I've never seen such a huge Muji store in the states and I was instantly hooked as to how much more they have here. I really enjoyed their book, food, and plants section. Their food section had so much packaged food that it was hard to choose from. I wasn't sure what to choose or how to choose the many options they had. I also really enjoyed visiting their stationary section of the store. I believe there was more products at this flagship location compared to any Muji I've been to; only been to 1 besides this store.

I only wish that the Muji in LA had the same options and space as this flagship location. I would definitely visit this place as a study or work spot and I'm sure college students would appreciate the vibe and food; not at boba spots or...

Newly opened. Cafe has its teething problems. Front person should have explained ordering system. Again, teething issues.

Food actually tastes good. Regular coffee with meal tastes good. The cold chai tea is commendable. Would certainly go back.

Cold deli is a must try. Very intricate and interesting.

Best dessert is caramel custard. The pancake set was made fresh and quite light and fluffy

They also have a bakery. This is a pricey bakery but with good loaves of bread that you can't find in Taste next door. Tasted their walnut bread with black sesame and it was good.

Nothing disappointing. Staff is nice and helpful. This will definitely be a popular place to go...

Love this restaurant inside Muji! It's located at the ground level of the mall close to the MTR station. They offer lunch sets which you can choose 1 hot with 2 cold dishes, 1 cold with 2 hot dishes or 2 hot and 2 cold dishes. Each set comes with rice or vegetables, a soup, and also a drink. I picked the set with 2 hot and 1 cold dishes, vegetables, and apple juice. I also added the mango pie for dessert. Everything was great and the restaurant was quite quiet.
