Chelsea Garden & Restaurant — Restaurant in Kowloon

The experience we had was unpleasant. While the venue was nice, the food and the service were very disappointing. Among the 2 of us, we ordered tiger prawns and truffle pasta. The "tiger prawns" were 4 small half-cooked frozen raw prawn cutlets covered in onions and bits of green pepper. They were grey and jellylike. The pasta was even more disappointing, the lukewarm pasta was dry and tasteless. There were indeed little shreds of black bits all over the pasta, but the aroma and flavour of truffle did not show up at all. While we were disappointed, due to the fact that we were in a rush, we did not complain to the staff at all, we simply decided to leave the restaurant without finishing our food. As we asked for the bill, the waitress confronted us, we then told her that we didnt really like the food. The waitress was very defensive and gave us some attitude. She did not apologize or address the problem. We then decided to pay for the lunch and get back to work. As we walked out of the restaurant, I could hear her talking about us, she said we were the only ones unhappy with the food. As I walked into the elevator, I was shocked to hear her yelling for me. I was in a hurry so I did not return. I was very disappointed with this place, I was very excited about trying this place out and I was truly let down. I had dinner with my friend here for his birthday. This resto doesn't require you to finish your meal in 2 hours, we can enjoy the dinner in no rush.

The service was good. We ordered many appetizer and tapas, but the table was too small. The waiter merged two tables for us before the foods came. They didn't bother us but could give us recommendation when we asked.

The foods were great. Their portion was good for 2 to 3 people to share. Taste was good as well. We ordered Oysters set with 2 house wine, Parma Hams & Pepperoni Platter, Pimientos de Padron, Roasted Spicy Octopus, Iberico Ham & Cheese Ball, Seafood Paella and desserts. All of them are hot and taste good. I love they provide breads with vinegar and olive oil for each table. I think it's a must for a traditional european resto.

It's a pity that we didn't go to their balcony to enjoy the view at night.

Absolutely amazing night at Chelsea Garden with my Family, the place was lovely and the staff are very attentive we felt the warm and friendly welcome from Feng, Neemo, Bosco,and Wenwen. We highly recommend this restaurant to all travellerand bring your families with you because of their good ambiance and relaxing place, everything we tried here was delicious and the service was great!
