I watched two videos about this eatery on YouTube. Came with my wife today to check out this place. Food is surprisingly good, very flavorful. We ordered several famous house dishes: Pani Poori, Satay Beef and chicken, whole Tandoori Pomfret, ox tongue curry, and of course the Dosa! What stands out most is the Satay chicken, so juicy and tender, the temperature is just perfect; the second place has to go to Tandoori pomfret, it has that smoky flavor outside, yet the fish meat inside is still very juicy and very very flavorful; Panini Poori is also delicious. For the dessert we ordered Gulab Jamun which is very sweet and properly is something we might not want to order again in the future. This just is our personal preference. Nothing wrong with the dish itself, it’s supposed to be that way. We will definitely come back to visit again with friends and family! Highly recommend. A must stop if you are in TST or Jordan area. A very interesting, under valued restaurant with fusion touch/ twists to its Indian cuisine. The owner is an Indian born and grew up in Malaysia, has been working in HK for 40 years. He speaks fluent Cantonese, so is the...
Read more🇲🇾 Freshly made, crisp yet fluffy hot Malaysian Roti Canai in 🇭🇰 Hong Kong? I never thought this was even possible! Most places that do have “roti canai” on the menu here, were usually serving supermarket pre-packed and imported then pan-fried and “fluffed” up to look like freshly made canai..
🥢 I must say I was initially sceptical when I heard the name “Indian Chopsticks” in Jordan, but after hearing that their “roti canai” was as close to what one would get in Malaysia - from real Malaysians who have tried it; I had to check it out.. and they were right! Freshly made per order in the kitchen by Chef Michael who is from Setapak in Kuala Lumpur.. And despite having lived in 🇭🇰 for 25 years; his skills hasn’t lost a beat as this is probably the Most Authentic and Awesome Malaysian Roti Canai in the city… Pair this with the various just as authentic curry dishes including Lamb Curry on the menu - they even have Fish Head Curry which I look forward to trying next time...
Read moreHad lunch there. Picked ox tongue curry with Naan and a cup of coffee. It also came with a small bowl of clear vegetable soup which is nice as a starter.
The curry was more Indian style, well , this is an Indian restaurant, but it is not very spice at all. Good for me. The curry was quite thick and was good to eat with Naan or even rice. Yum. There were only 5 to 6 small peices of ox tongue with a few potatoes cudes in the curry. I ate all of them even I m not a potato lover.
I love the Naan too. It still has some crispness outside and with the curry, it was delicious.
For hkd62, it is...
