Dining time (3.21pm tea) follow@wojengyea/@wo!正嘢 for more food info🐒 Italian-style coffee yuenyeung $38 The name is gimmicky, but it tastes like a warm cup of milk tea. 🍵 Very disappointing, with no espresso flavor at all, it's more like drinking milk tea. After asking the barista multiple times if they had actually used espresso, they admitted they made a mistake and offered to make a new cup for me. I didn't mind much, appreciated their attitude, but honestly couldn't drink two cups of milk tea, so I switched to a simple latte. It had a strong and fragrant coffee flavor, and the milk (I saw them using Meiji blue milk) was rich. It was a normal and satisfying choice.
Lemon Honey $38 🍋🍯 As a hot beverage, it performed decently, with a hint of lemon flavor. The lemon taste wasn't particularly prominent, but it was soothing for the throat. There was a quarter of a lemon slice in it, very refreshing.
Italian Herb Bread (Sun-dried Tomato & Green Olives) $38 You definitely have to try their homemade bread 🍞 . The sun-dried tomatoes 🍅 were aromatic, with an intense tomato flavor, and the green olives 🫒 were juicy. The bread was soft and well-baked, and the olive oil and herb flavors were rich and delightful. It was hot and spicy, really delicious.
Restaurant Ambience The restaurant is divided into different sections: front, middle, and upper. As you enter through the iron gate, there's a covered outdoor area (facing the road, a bit noisy), and during Christmas, they had a Christmas tree 🎄 at the entrance, creating a festive atmosphere. The main area of the coffee shop is in the middle, with a simple and rustic decoration. They used a deep dark green industrial style for the interior design, preserving the original character of the old shop with the gray plastered walls. The ceiling is extremely high, providing a spacious feeling. The green and white spiral staircase🪜is a popular spot for taking photos, very unique and cool. The upstairs area doesn't have anything particularly special, it seems to be used for exhibitions🖼️ or workshops🛠️. I would recommend sitting downstairs, as it...

I’m so glad I visited this cafe😙 Not only was the decor amazin, where many people were taking ootd’s to 拍照打卡 at the spiral staircase, but the pastries 🥐 as well as the coffee ☕️ was delicious!!🤤
This cafe just gives of super chill vibes 😌, it’ll be the perfect spot to get your work done or to catch up with friends, away from the bustling city;))
The exterior of the cinnamon cruffin is perfectly crisp while the centre still remained fluffy and very buttery 🧈! Sweetness was just nice too😝
Espresso w orange 🍊 juice was refreshingg! My go-to kinda coffee ☕️ on a super hot day 🥵 A balance of tanginess with that slight bitterness from the shot of espresso👍🏻
Both the hot & iced 🧊 latte was not bad! Good cuppa! It was smooth, wasn’t too bitter nor acidic!
Earl grey latte was slightly bland & a tad powdery but luckily the fragrance 👃🏻 was still there. And not forgetting abt the Hokkaido milk 🥛 my younger sis got😋 It’s just milk but somehow it tastes so gooodd!?🙉 Glad my sis enjoyed it so much so that she wanted to get another serving HAHAHAHA🤣🤣

Read morePhvlo Hatch is an old textile shop at the corner of Wong Chuk Street and Apliu Street in Sham Shui Po that was repurposed and reopened a few years ago as an exhibition hall (upper floors) and coffee shop (ground floor) run by Colour Brown brand. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm daily. There is a fair amount of indoor wall side seating with atmospheric and photogenic environs. Do make sure to check out the delightful staircase here.
During our recent visit, we found their macchiato to be just fine, a good espresso with just the right amount of milk and foam to cut the bitterness. More impressive was the single origin Brazilian blend which was well brewed and tasted delightful, a quality and serious cup of black.
They offer a fairly extensive food menu as well. We opted for a slice of their hazelnut cake from the counter. This was very good, nice texture and rich flavours, complemented by the coffee drinks quite well.
Overall, very happy with our visit to Phvlo X Colour Brown. This is neat place and solid contributor to the emerging coffee culture in the Sham Shui Po. Will definitely be returning for another round of coffees...
