This year, the Palace Museum's annual membership is about to expire, so I wanted to take the opportunity to visit some special exhibitions. The "Origins of Chinese Civilization" exhibition showcases unearthed artifacts that date back 4,000 to 8,000 years, which is several thousand years earlier than what we usually learn from history books. It's definitely worth a visit.

After touring the museum, I originally planned to head back to Element for a meal, but I saw on OpenRice that there’s a crepe place on the LG floor of the museum! I was really tempted to try it!

The restaurant feels like a typical French bistro, with small tables that are a bit cramped, but there are both indoor and outdoor seating options. Since I didn’t bring my dog today, I could sit indoors. However, the neighboring table had a lot of people coming and going, so I sometimes had to stand up to let them pass.

Of course, I ordered the crepe, which was a traditional French ham and cheese with a sunny-side-up egg. The restaurant is called "Completed," and it was quite good—the ingredients were perfectly balanced, not too greasy, and very tasty. I was tempted to order a sweet crepe as well, but I knew I couldn't eat another one, so I ordered a plate of mussels for my friend instead. They were small blue mussels, cooked perfectly and very fresh, and the portion was generous. One crepe, a plate of mussels with fries, and a cider made for a delicious meal!

To be honest, I was initially a bit annoyed by the constant coming and going of people at the neighboring table, but the attitude of the waitstaff was genuinely nice—they were very polite. We understood that a small bistro isn’t like a hotel, but they really did their best to ensure every guest had a comfortable dining experience. I'm grateful to them for making my weekend...

My review is because I want to express my disappointment with the service I received at your restaurant on. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my concerns through this Google review.

Firstly, while waiting for my takeout order, I had an unpleasant encounter with one of your waitresses. Without offering any apology, she carelessly bumped into me. When I approached her to address her rudeness, she responded in a defensive and impolite manner, claiming that she did not see me. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to expect your staff to be aware of their surroundings and treat patrons with courtesy.

Secondly, I had placed an order for the day's special and a pasta dish. However, after waiting for 30 minutes, I was informed that the special would take longer to prepare. I was surprised that this information was not communicated to me when I initially placed the order. Consequently, I had to cancel my order altogether. The chef approached me and apologized for the inconvenience, but he admitted that there was a lack of communication within the team. It is disheartening to learn that such mismanagement led to my dissatisfaction as a customer.

I must emphasize that the lack of communication and coordination between your staff members is deeply concerning. As a customer, I believe it is crucial to be informed about any delays or changes to my order in a timely manner. Furthermore, the fact that the chef acknowledged the mistake and the consequential delay in serving my pasta only adds to my disappointment. It reflects poorly on the restaurant's management and raises questions about the overall efficiency and professionalism of your...

As a crepes lover, this is the place to go! I’ve only visited a few times, but my dining experiences here were always a delight. highly highly recommend that you pay a visit to this charming corner of west kowloon.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff, as well as the enticing aroma of freshly made crepes. I adore how it’s located near the sea, hence the smell of fresh air + the sun on my skin made me enjoy my walks to this restaurant. I’m not from the area, and yet its warm and welcoming ambiance made me feel at home.

I applaud their commitment to making visually appealing crepes. There’s just something so special about their Nutella Banana Roll Sweet Crepe. Its artistic appearance was enough to draw me towards it, but I especially won’t forget how savouring it was. The chef really goes great lengths in cooking them to perfection. I have yet to try their other dishes.

I thank the staff for their prompt service in accommodating me during my few dining experiences. I’ve witnessed their customer-first attitude at play, which reassured me that the other customers and I were in good hands.

Whenever you’re craving a sweet treat or a savory delight, Crepes & Bakes is the place to be. Without a doubt, they’ll surely satisfy your taste buds, treat you with the utmost care and ensure that you have a memorable dining experience! I can’t wait for my...

Steven the guy at the cashier really surprised 😮 us, thought he is from HK. He speaks so many languages, including Russian. What a wonderful employee. Decent place, but the main thing is the tidyness of the area behind the cashier and has to be better or hidden, so many random things in the toilet, like it's not a restaurant, but someone's office in the industrial building. Very disappointing 😞 on that side. Food was okay on average. Crepe with leeks and scallops, very nice. Would try again if had a chance. Surprisgly no service charge for seating outside, because area is managed by the park. Which sounds fair enough, I don't mind to pick up my own food. The problem is that it creates so much waste, with disposable boxes, thought they are from paper 📃. Seating arrangement now is better, than before. All in one style with other shops, which makes area look more appealing. But not too clean, WKCDA management should do more proper cleaning, we came early in the morning, first clients and tables were dirty. Means they haven't even clean them throughly. Can pay contactless.

Crepes & Bakes is a new restaurant that opened up along with the Hong Kong Palace Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District. They are located on the west side of the museum facing the harbour and are open from 9am to 9pm daily. This is a crepe specialist dishing up a handful of savoury and sweet varieties along with a simple selection of bakery items and drinks. Service is quick and friendly while prices lean towards the high end of the spectrum for what is being served. I had lunch here for the first time recently found the 4 cheese buckwheat crepe topped with a bit of green to be ok, not a great galette but not bad either. Served with a cider this was a decent lunch, one potentially worth coming back for the next time visiting the Hong Kong Palace Museum. Note: There is no entrance to the restaurant from within the museum. You have to exit and make your way to the lower ground floor on the promenade side. There you will find Crepes & Bakes along with the Jin Ya Ju Noodle Bar and Cupping Room Coffee Shop.
