Wow! Our first night in Hong Kong. We just wanted to walk to a place around our hotel. The outside looked welcoming for us Americans...plenty of pictures so we chose it after looking at a few restaurants up and down the street. We realized it was Korean food but since we were familiar with it and starving we stayed. And boy is it great. The staff was friendly. The fried chicken combo of spicy and regular is one of the best if not the best we've had...and that's counting the fried chicken places we've had our whole lives in Texas. We also shared bulgogi (they called it beef strips and rice), noodles and black bean sauce and bibimbap. It was great to us Americans, but mom who lived in Korea for 20 years said ok...she's a tough critic though. The place is packed on Sunday evening. Having a Corona beer was a great treat too being from Texas. They even have Corona Rita's, Soju, and other beers I couldn't tell the country though. We got 4 dishes, beer, hot tea and 2 waters for around $50 US dollars. We just arrived to Hong Kong so not sure how to compare pricing. For American it's on part for the amount of food we received. We didn't totally clean our plates but we didn't have enough left for...
Read moreIt is a kind of Korean fried chicken restaurant. From the menu, it appears to be a fast-food style one. It is required to place order and pay at the cashier first. There is a large dining area with free sitting and the food will be delivered to your table. Quite spacious.
In my visit, there were only a few customers. I enjoyed the cozy environment very much. Picked a lunch set with beef and rice in soup. The beef was very chewy, the rice was a bit hard for me in comparison with Japanese rice. I like the soup though. The set came with kimchi and a cup of milk tea for an extra hkd8.
In terms of food, it is not value for money. But it is a great place for taking a break or getting away from a busy schedule.
One more thing, they put both milk and sugar into the milk tea. And I found it too sweet. So I told the staff member at the cashier and they did replace it for me....
Read moreMy friends and I were eating here and for some reason one employee I never saw working here before (I’ve been here quite a few times) comes up to us and tells us to be lower in voice. Maybe we were loud, so we were quieter in talking. A few minutes later when we were whispering to each other, the random employee comes back to us and says “This restaurant is not only for you three,” keep in mind that it was my friends and I, and another couple eating there who didn’t care for us talking and were doing so themselves. We were confused and he said for us to be quiet, in a restaurant. We told him we weren’t even talking that loud and he just repeated that this restaurant isn’t for you three. Even though we were practically whispering. Rude interaction to a paying customer that paid 500$. Never coming back and telling everyone I know about the service. Food was...
