Awesome staff And good food At least a place where the staff knows good English and communicate well with you Crowded yes But nice location Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast food restaurants owned by Jollibee Foods Corporation(JFC). As of April 2018, JFC had a total of about 1,200 Jollibee outlets worldwide; with presence in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, East Asia (Hong Kong, Macau), North America, Europe (Italy, UK ). In 1975, Tony Tan Caktiong and his family opened a Magnolia ice cream parlor in Cubao, Quezon City. The outlet later began offering hot meals and sandwiches upon request from customers. When the food items became more popular than ice cream, the family decided to convert the ice cream parlor into a fast food restaurant which became the first Jollibee outlet in 1978. Management consultant Manuel C. Lumba advised the family on the change in strategy. The company that would be managing the chain of fast food, Jollibee Foods Corporation was incorporated in January 1978. By the end of that year, there were seven branches in Metro Manila. Read moreJollibee is my must-visit place every time when I travel to HK for visiting my parents.
The Jollichicken is hands down better than KFC.
For my recent visit, I ordered the family bucket meal A which consists of 6 pieces of fried chickens, 2 serves of spaghetti, 4 sides and 4 drinks.
I was given 2 thighs and 4 drumsticks for my fried chickens and they are all freshly cooked. The thighs were hot, juicy and flavoursome. The meats of the drumsticks were super soft, fall off the bone and juicy under those crispy skin. I don't know how they did it but they were good, so good that I didn't have enough after 4 pieces of chicken.
The spaghetti were authentic to the Philippino style - the sauce is a bit of the sweet side and the pasta would be a bit overcooked under Italian standard. But I didn't go for authentic Italian pasta. The kids love those spaghetti, great to go with watching Babybus on YouTube.
I ordered 2 fries, potato & gravy and corn for my sides. There were ok, nothing too outstanding.
Nothing to talk about for the drinks. They are just standard drinks.
This place can get pretty busy during lunch and dinner time. Try to avoid peak hours.
