The hotel room charge is rather cheap & it has got very good strategic location (very near to Mongkok MTR station), but other than these 2 points, the rest are all terrible.|| ||Here are the terrible points:||||1. Super tidy lousy lift which can only fit 2 person + 2 luggages||||2. Unbelievably SMALL room. I booked a Special Double room & expected it to be bigger than the Standard room, But NO. Its still very very small which can only fit in 1 bed & only has space for 1 luggage to be opened at 1 time. The bathroom is just 2 steps away from the bed so you can imagine how small it is. The only spacious area in the room is actually the bathroom.||||3. Dirty room. Saw a number of reviews online stating that the rooms are rather clean, but I was utterly disppointed with their cleanliness. You can actually see dirt patches & hairs on the bed. The bathroom is also rather dirty with strands of hairs found on the floor.||||4. Terrible WIFI connection. Before I make a booking for this hotel, I saw on their website stating that there is free WIFI available in the hotel, However the fact is, WIFI connection is only available at the hotel reception area & the room has got totally no connection at all. What a lie to say that they actually provide free WIFI connection.||||5. Bad attitude of staff & Extremely poor service. Mosr of the time, there will be NO staff around & hence you will not be able to check in or check out of the hotel. Have to wait for some time before a staff popped out to assist you. ||Also, on the last day of my stay, we checked out slightly later (supposed to check out at 12 noon but we only checked out at 12.30pm due to unforsee circumstances) & the reception staff actually scolded me & my boyfriend in Cantonese. After scolding, she returned the HKD$100 deposit by banging it hard on the table and continue scolding us. What kind of HORRIBLE service is this? This is the 1st time I see a hotel staff scolding their guests for late check out. Even cheaper hotel in Bangkok has got so much BETTER service than them. ||||5. Lack of security. The hotel is located below a Karaoke bar, hence they are quite a number of people going up & down the building, some may even walked past the hotel. So after checking out, there are no space for the guests to put their luggages, and the only way is to leave your luggages along the reception area & even along the lift area. There is totally no security as someone may just walk past & drag your luggages away.||||All in all, i think with the same amount paid, you can get a better hotel elsewhere in HK. If not for me, I would rather pay more next time for a more...

Read moreApril 26, 2015 my husband and I stayed at the hotel. Location is excellent: right at the bus stop № 21. The rooms are clean, with all amenities and hot water. But the main value of this hotel - the staff! With us there was a nuisance: left briefcase with a laptop and passports in the bus. After 2.5 hours, we discovered the loss and sounded the alarm. The administrator paid attention throughout the night to find our losses. It is impossible to believe, but they are requested to contact the City bus and found our laptop and passports! This conversation went on english - Chinese and Russian, were all involved translators in phones and tablets! We wholeheartedly thank the staff of the hotel, the bus company for their participation, understanding and honesty. All the best to them! The next trip we will stop them and recommend to all. The : Rai Lei Hotel, you will be...
