We skimmed through the menus/order-checklists in high expectation and anticipation; and ordered two grilled pigeons, hargaw (shrimp-dumpling), pan-fried shrimp-patty, chee-cheong-fun (steamed rice-rolls with "charsiew" pork), steamed "len" (scale) fish-balls, steamed beef-balls, fish-fillet groundnut congee, and a truly rare item nowadays: Teochew-style hot-plate fried fish-intestines. The food mostly came in gargantuan portions, and was delicious and highly satisfactory and enjoyable. Restaurant ambience was a typical dim-sum, Chinese-cuisine set-up: simple, minimalist and functional. Sometimes, rather noisy...as crowds built up. Staff were helpful and attentive, positioning themselves at a discreet distance from diners; yet highly responsive to their cues.
