The Lounge & Bar | The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong — Restaurant in Kowloon

So I went there for lunch earlier this week and I was surprised they no longer have the big fruit bowl where you can pick from the counter. They also took Quinoa off the list. Sad as that was my favourite! But what was unacceptable was the tea pot (Earl Grey) I got had a chipped spout opening (damaged quite severely) and when I requested a replacement the waiter he told me more than 80% of their tea pots are damaged but will to swap one for me. Friends and I were speechless to his response.

Despite we were offered a discount at the end but the important issue here is the safety as the damaged tea pots pose a health risk for the patrons at The Lounge & Bar. I would recommend the Ritz Carlton management to replace all the tea pots. Perhaps sourcing one that’s more durable?

This particular visit is an outlier from my past experiences at various Ritz Carlton hotels. For example, the breakfast I had at Kuala Lumpur provided an exceptional service. Food was great and people there made me feel special. Hopefully the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong can step up their game and pay more attention to details.

Nestled on the 101st floor of the tallest building in HK, this incredible venue has been featured in numerous films and movies and remains one of the best establishments to build memorable experiences with friends/family/dates/business associates, especially those who are just visiting HK. The sweeping views of Victoria Harbour and accompanying views of the sunset are simply unforgettable.

During this visit, Alina and Leslie were ever so instrumental in making our visit a superb one. Alina especially was ever so attentive to our orders and requests and went out of the way to prepare a powerbank and charging cable for us when the battery on our devices were running low. Leslie was continuously checking on us just to make sure that everything was coming along fine, or even simply just to top up our drinking water.

This is probably my sixth or seventh visit, yet the service standards still remain consistently high and worthy of one of the best dining experiences in HK, especially so with a discount for MBonvoy members. We’d probably have paid the same or more for something in Central with no view and half the level of service anyway, therefore such an experience was indeed...

During my extensive travels and numerous experiences with high-end buffets around the globe, the buffet at The Lounge and Bar at the Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong, stands out as a remarkable culinary journey. The food quality was exceptional, with a diverse range of well-prepared and beautifully presented dishes. Every dish was continuously replenished, ensuring a fresh and inviting selection throughout our visit.

However, what truly elevated our experience was the extraordinary service. The staff’s passion for guest satisfaction and their meticulous attention to detail were evident in every interaction. Special thanks to their management Kenny and Roy, whose personalized and attentive service made our evening not just enjoyable, but truly unforgettable.
