My daughter attended a summer course with her friends. We were told that since we paid the tuition fee, so that we could be free at entrance, but it turns out that they charged us by Octopus Card. After the class, we called and tried to seek help from their staff, but the staff, named Ken Li, keep saying that we need to register at skating school counter before attending skating course. We said we did registered at the counter. There is a counter in the Rink allows student to register, they can recognize my daughter's record, allowing us to attend the class. But this "register at counter" is not the same as their instruction since they were referring "register at another counter" totally not located in the Rink (physically located at another shop in the mall but they are the people). The worst part is that Ken yelled at us saying that it is our fault not to follow the instruction and school counter is loud and clear (which we don't agree). Our point is we did not know the school counter is not the counter in the Rink, and they did not explain, tlbut they are the same people and staff, even they have our records allowing us to attend the class.

We cannot believe we tried to seek help but being scolded and yelled like this. Finally they changed our entrance fee overpaid to credit to be used for renting ice skate shoes in the next time. Yes, they have such authority to do so, but still need to scold us and yell at us.

Interestingly, I noticed from the comments here and found that it seems to be a common attitude of staff that a lot of people already experienced. I hope I have had...

Very neglectful staff! I went with my friends, had a bit incident through of course no fault of anyone else, I fell down and my knee was sprained a bit too much than I thought it had. My friends helped me out of the rink where I sat down for a while to see if my knees felt okay. But, as few mins passed it only got worse so we had to call an ambulance to go to the hospital. Now, all the time I was sitting there literally bursting into tears, the apathetic staff just gave looks towards what was happening. I KNOW it's not their responsibility that I fell down and got injured, but the fact that I was visibly hurt and not ONE single staff even approached with the decency to ask what was wrong let alone offer any help. They were there just chatting with each other near the rink. Had it not been for my friends I think I would've been completely helpless given the behavior I faced. Once again, just to be clear, I am NOT blaming the staff for anything but them being...

The best rink in HK, although it is not as large as other rinks, it is the least crowded and has the most comfortable skates. The price is usually higher than Citiplaza and Festival Walk, $1/minute using octopus via turnstile in peak days. Skates rental costs you $20 and this fee also needs to pay using octopus, so before going to the rink, don't forget to reload the octopus. For every single use of the locker, you will need $10 for one locker token. I am a beginner, so all those penquins and dolphins are horrible, the people who rent these will wipe out everything in their way, I am so scared that I will be knocked that by a penquin... In my opinion, those penquins and dolphins are telling people to skate in a wrong way, so don't rent unless you...

Unfortunately this is now a TERRIBLE skating experience!!! Gradually, over the last 4 or 5 years, more and more of the space has been taken up by private lessons to the point where 75% of the rink is now being fenced off, forcing everyone else on to a thin track around the edge (see photo). This is not just annoying in terms of the amount of people packed into what little space there is left - it's downright dangerous. I complained but the staff don't seem to care. A 'public' skating rink - that's a joke right? Here's an idea - close the rink for lessons in the morning and then open the whole place up to the public in the afternoon. NO FUN!

The rental skates here are so impossibly flat and blunt and devoid of edges crucial to safe and enjoyable skating that's it literally impossible to do anything other than dangerously careen all over the place with zero ability to do anything else. If you're a skater traveling and don't have your skates with you it is really not worth the effort. The ice is otherwise fine if small, but it won't matter as you won't be going far without your own skates.

best place to learn ice skating . very big space in a mall and all professional teachers. only the thing is you have to walk 15 min to reach there if you go by bus and 10 min by taxi or MTR . need to pay 20$ rent for skate.
