The *Assorted Sashimi Platter * ($450) arrives as a visual feast, featuring a vibrant array of tuna, amberjack, salmon, scallop, sweet shrimp, horse mackerel, and sea urchin. The tuna, served in its lean "akami" cut, boasts a deep crimson hue and a pure, clean fish flavour with minimal fat — a choice that leans into the natural taste of the sea. Salmon belly, in contrast, offers a rich, buttery mouthful, its marbled fat melting luxuriously on the tongue. The horse mackerel’s pale pink-white flesh carries a subtle sweetness and a mild umami that lingers delicately. The *Matsudo Seafood Salad* ($95) adds a creative twist to tradition. A delicate layer of crispy tempura batter crowns the salad, adding an unexpected crunch that contrasts beautifully with the fresh sashimi cubes inside — including salmon, squid, and tuna. Bursts of briny salmon roe lend each bite a pop of oceanic intensity, making this dish both refreshing and indulgent. The *Salt-Grilled Chicken Wings* ($68) are butterflied for ease and grilled over charcoal until the skin reaches a satisfying crisp. Simply seasoned with salt, the smoky exterior enhances the natural flavour of the juicy chicken within — a minimalist approach that highlights the quality of the base ingredient. The *Okinawan Goya Chanpuru* ($88) features bitter melon stir-fried with pork and scrambled egg — a home-style dish straight from the kitchens of Okinawa. The bitter melon retains its signature crunch and mild bitterness, which is balanced by the savoury richness of pork and the softness of egg. The result is a bold, earthy dish that delivers a uniquely addictive bitter-sweet harmony.

OMG guys! You HAVE to check out this amazing Japanese place I found in TST - Sushi Dokoro Matsudo! The vibes are super chill, perfect for a dinner date with friends or fam. (Address: 8/F, Colour Star Group Building, 100 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong Tel: +852 31064468) I'd heard they use super fresh ingredients and the chefs are top-notch, and let me tell you, they did NOT disappoint! Every dish was seriously on point. Get ready for a food spam! The "Assorted Sashimi (Premium) ($300)" was *chef's kiss*! Thick cut sashimi that just melts in your mouth. So fresh and sweet, a total must-try for sashimi lovers. The "Deep-fried Beef & Potato Croquette ($70)" was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with juicy beef and creamy mashed potato. The textures were amazing! The "Japanese Omelette ($18)" might seem simple, but it takes real skill to make it this perfect. Fluffy, eggy, and just the right balance of sweet and savoury. Comfort food at its finest! The "Tofu Salad ($68)" was so refreshing, with silky smooth tofu and a special dressing. And of course, we had to finish with the "Fried Noodles ($88)". Perfectly cooked noodles, tons of toppings, and that wok hei flavour... the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Overall, Sushi Dokoro Matsudo is a winner! Delicious food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Whether you're craving sashimi or just want a taste of Japan, this is the place to be. Go check it out! #sushidokoromatsudo #hkfoodie #tstfood #japanesefood #sashimi #beefcroquette #omelette #tofusalad #friednoodles #foodphotography #foodlover #hkfoodblogger #instafood #musttry

Visited on two occasions, food was above par on the first and we thought what a find... When we returned for a second visit the place was packed, the service was non existent, waited 45minutes for our sushi platter and only after numerous reminders came with a platter they had substituted tuna with salmon... Left a rather bad taste in the mouth... moral of the story, walk away when they are full!
