ABA Bar — Restaurant in Sé

Lobby bars a Macau's high end hotels can very quiet venues compared to what you find in Hong Kong and other cities around the world and Aba Bar at MGM Macau is no exception. Opening hours are 5pm to midnight daily.

The bar is located between the Aux Beaux Arts restaurant and the Godiva chocolate cafe in the Grande Praca area of MGM Macao. It is set back a bit and feels like it is part of Aux Beaux Arts but with far fewer if any guests.

We stopped by for a round of drinks after dinner during Easter weekend and found ourselves alone at ABA bar. Staff serviced us quickly and very politely. They have a 'Double Up at Dusk' 2 for 1 happy hour from 5-9pm daily for a good selection of wine, spirits and cocktails.

Drinks are served with a typical snack tray (chili/bbq chips, olives and caramelised nuts with sesame seeds). These were enjoyed during our visit along with the Old Fashioned, which was particularly strong compared to what is normally served up in HK and Macau. We also liked the Elixir cocktail which was elegant with a smooth cherry finish.

Atmosphere and ambience is nice at Aba Bar. Tables are space nicely, lighting is good, decor is tasteful while sofa and chairs are comfortable. Several tables near the front have direct view of the 8-metre tall Aquarium in Grande Praca while there are other tables for couples and small parties further back. With very few other guests, this is a nice bar for light conversation if you are spending time in this area of city or staying...

We love coming to ABA for drinks and dinner. We came to happy hour 1 for 1 drinks today and received exceptional service from Kiki who was not only knowledgeable about the drinks and the food selection here but also very sweet, attentive and helpful. What a rare 💎 gem of an employee!! I hope her managers appreciates her and grooms her for her potential. We will be back! ...
