西北风味 — Restaurant in Shanghai

We passed by this restaurant several times as it is located quite near to our hotel in our everyday outing and so we decided to come by for dinner one evening. As we were early then, the restaurant was not crowded and we were served by the friendly lady staff who took her time to introduce to us their key and popular dishes.

So we ordered the fried and "hand claw" rices, stir fried veggies, fish soup, lamb ribs and of course, the lamb skewers! And wow, the food were so good and delicious (though we waited quite a while for the lamb dishes that required a longer time of cooking). Very well marinated with various spices and really tasty. The portions were huge too. Really good!

Only issues were that we didn't serve cold drinks (or had ice cubes), only hot tea available and on the evening of our visit, it seemed that the a/c was not functioning and so the staff had to open the restaurant doors (to allow the air to come in), a little stuffy though and the washroom is located on the second floor.

Prices were reasonable too!

Overall, we enjoyed our meal here and it was very good and much better than the similar ones we had tried in Chongqing and Guangzhou in our recent visits!
