Wow. We lucked into this place on the last day of our trip from the US, after another restaurant had too long a wait. They served 9 of us, and all our food was excellent. Tortilla soup was one of of the best we've had, and the trout and shrimp were tops as well. Hamburger meat was just average but the bread was so good you barely noticed. For desert, we all had torta de almojabana, a traditional desert that was not too sweet, but delicious. Much of the food was organic and/or local as well. Expensive and mediocre. Bad service. Food merely OK. I went with my family to have breakfast. They could not get the cappuccino right in two different occasions. The waitress seems not to care. They did not have any whole wheat bread. I asked for eggs (with tomato, basil and cheese). They were hard, not creamy as I asked. Again, they did not care. I did not eat the food. Quite impressed with the attention to detail in this place. First of all, the menu is not extensive which is always a good sign. Second, for take away orders, they use quality packaging, adequate for this type of orders. I had rotisserie chicken (criollo) and it was cut in muliple pieces and placed in a bag but without closing it completely (so the food doesn't get soggy from the vapour).
