Great experience here. Good service, great food at a fair price, interesting decorations.
The place was full, it seems the combination of being popular and some of the places around being closed played well for them. Anyway, if possible, make a reservation.
As for the food, instead of the regular one appetizer and one main dish I tried just two appetizers and it was the right choice, the appetizer dishes are big and two were more than enough for a complete lunch.
I had "Matachos", the name for their empanadas plate, with the surprise of their empanadas being baked and not fried, uncommon in Colombia, but still nice and in this case very good in taste, the only small detail was the spicy peanut sauce as it was not as spicy as expected, but that's actually common in Colombia as spicy feeling is not the most appreciated here.
My other appetizer, "Tostón Condorito", a flattened plantain with salmon and mozzarella cheese, was really good and big in size, a good choice as the salmon flavor is not masked by the plantain...
Read moreThe restaurant is unique in a way that it makes you feel like you’re in an antique store, with a somewhat creepy vibe of naked dolls all hung on the ceiling looking down at you with a menacing look. The staff didn’t really give any suggestions, and none looked happy to be there, but who would blame them working in a house straight out of a horror movie. Let me give it to them though, there are a few antiques that are worth looking at. Our drinks came out watered down; I should’ve ordered water. My burger was the worst part of it all. Once bite out of the burger and the meat would dissolve into little bits of grit and all I could feel was a sandy feeling in my mouth, not to mention how it was all charred. I would’ve imagine dessert would’ve been the best part, but the Ice cream was rock solid. I had to make a few rounds around the restaurant before it thawed out to be able to eat. If you want to get a few pictures in a fun house, this is the spot. Other than that, go somewhere else if you want to save...
