Semolina 109 — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

Fine dining Italian Cuisine on a budget - I had been hearing about this restaurant for a long long time now, and finally we paid them a visit last Sunday. It was an experience that way worth the wait!

The Food - The food was delicious to say the least. We ordered a Pizza and a Milanesa. Both of them were top notch. The Milanesa was well flavored and the coating was crispy. The meat was tender and juicy. The accompanying mashed potato and salad complemented the dish. The pizza we ordered was a three cheese pizza. The crust was think and crunchy, the cheese was of good quality, the seasoning were spot. We left the restaurant with a full stomach but craving for more!

The service - The service was on par with restaurants of the class. The staff were attentive, friendly and super efficient.

The Ambience - They have plenty of seating space, although the restaurant was crowded it was never noisy. The tables near the walls even had power sockets, just in case you wanted to plug in your laptop and work.

The price - The price is inexpensive when you compare it with the quality of the food, the service and the ambience! The value for money proposition is very high!

Final Verdict - I'm just waiting for an excuse to go there again! Highly recommended for casual dining, fine...

As for the food, excellent presentation, I ordered an octopus as a starter and it was divine, fresh and soft to eat; For the second course I ordered a meat with risotto, delicious. The place is very cozy, I LOVE IT! They have like a patio in the back and they place heaters, the decoration is beautiful and if you go at night the lights are quite dim (soft).

The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because of the service, when I got to the place the waitress was talking to a waiter…. The waiters took a long time to serve the table, even after finishing the meal they took a long time to collect the plates and give me the bill.

Uncomplicated yet somehow elegant fusion Italian restaurant, with good service and good food at reasonable prices.

Menu has enough variety to appeal to all while not brimming with options, so choosing is easy.
