Fantastic Food and Amazing Drinks! recently dined at Morena and had an absolutely delightful experience. The food was exceptional, with every dish bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The presentation was also top-notch, showing the care and attention to detail put into each plate. I particularly enjoyed decoration snd lychee martini. The drinks were equally impressive and truly complemented the meal. They were so good that I couldn't resist trying more than one! The variety and quality of the drinks were definitely a highlight of the evening. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also lovely, providing a comfortable and welcoming setting for a memorable dining experience. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service, further enhancing the overall enjoyment of the evening. I highly recommend morena to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I will certainly be returning to indulge in more of their delicious food and drinks!"

Unfortunately my review of this place will be limited. I wish I could write to you too inform you about the food, drinks or even the hospitality of the staff but we were not served. In February of 2023 we visited this place while vacationing in Cartagena and boy do we regret it because of the EXTREMELY rude interactions we had with the staff. I would say rude service but we were not served so I’m referring to our experience as an interaction. When we arrived we were seated immediately but unfortunately that’s where it ended. After a very long wait (when I say long I mean long) the server came over. She was not nice we put in an order for two drinks and three bites to eat. We waited and waited…47 minutes later one drink came out and it was wrong, it wasn’t our drink. We were there a total of 1 hour and 22 minutes and the only thing we received from our order was the one wrong drink. THAT WAS NEVER CORRECTED. We never received the food or the other drink. The place was not busy at all. I would never write a negative review if the staff were busy and could not serve us right away. It unfortunate because the place itself is a great place to take photos. We took Photos at the entrance before this disappointing experience. We will be back in Cartagena at the end of this month but we will not be going back there. It’s just not worth it.

The restaurant had a nice ambiance as soon as you walk in. They are very true to the theme of "morena" which is depicted in the art work and decor throughout the restaurant. Service was good and the food was delicious...everything we had was great. I did however not enjoy the drinks as much. The 2nd drink I ordered the Lulu was described as sweet but it was mostly dry and a bit sour in guessing from the vermouth. So it was not to my liking. I also has the passion fruit margarita which was good. For starters we ordered the fried cheese and fries plantain platter. Of the 2 I would def recommend the platter with the carnitas. For entree we had the ribe eye steak and potatoes and roasted chicken. Both of which were super tender and had great flavor. We could not stop talking about how flavorful each dish was and both was cooked to perfection. 10/10 recommend those dishes. For dessert, we enjoyed the mousse.

The atmosphere is amazing lots of photo opportunities and they have live music . Service is very bad and needs to be corrected . Our host was very friendly but our waiter never came to offer us water until 30 mins later when I asked the host if someone was going to greet us . The restaurant was a bit busy but they were about 5 waiter and they had moments just chatting amongst themselves. While we were there I notice people would get up and walk away due to that reason so please if you decide to come be prepared to wait. the food was delicious we order various seafood plates . Starting from our appetizers to our dinner plate nothing wrong . Our drinks were delicious but due to them taking so long so come around we couldn’t order more . The dessert they gave us was dry and not appealing. I suggest working on the service .

I LOVED this restaurant. We got a reservation before our trip to get in and it was so lovely. The ambiance was incredible and the food was even better. The prices are so cheap (for American + euro conversions) and well worth it to try some of everything. My only complaint is the chairs!!!! SO uncomfortable. They are bristly and a bit broken due to use and angled so that you are somehow sitting so low but forced to sit up straight. It honestly is the reason for 4 stars because I would have loved to stay and enjoy the place longer but simply couldn’t because my back hurt so bad. (I’m 23 for reference my back shouldn’t hurt) a cute little white cushion would make this so much better! I hope they add one because we definitely would have stayed much longer and gotten much more if we were more comfortable.

Traveled to Cartagena for a family vacation/getaway. Came across this restaurant on our way back from the beach. Morena has an awesome atmosphere with attentive service. Mood is boho casual with a twist of elegance. Food was delicious. My husband had the churrasco cooked medium and I had the lamb medallions cooked medium. Both plates were perfect. Our appetizer of the fried cheese in organic honey with chili glaze was superb. Drinks were great as well. Our server was attentive and very friendly. Price is pretty standard for this type of restaurant. If you’re looking at this spot for dinner, I’d highly recommend making a reservation. Since it was just my husband and I - they were able to work us in, but it got quite busy as soon as we got our food. Beautiful location and live music.
