I gave one star because I discovered something bad. I like to eat pizza with salami. Normal margherita with salami. They didn't have this option. So I saw that there is pizza with pineapple and ham. I don't eat ham so I asked waiter if I can swap ham for the salami.
He said it is not possible. So they can take ham away, but I need to pay additional 7.000 COP for salami. I was ordering just half of pizza, so I asked if 7.000 is for one pizza how much this will cost for half of pizza and they said it is still 7.000 cop
It is not about the money, it is about purpose that they being totally no flexible towards customers and trying screw them over. So please be aware!
Prices for one pizza is around 40.000 so a bit pricey. I feel like in this price the swap should not matter. And customer would have good experience. But they decided differently which I found nor fair. And I am not going to get back there.
Also what I found very bad it that our waiter did not even ask us if we want to contribute to pay service. Just gave us bill without saying/asking anything.
But anyway it is very beautiful place. I like the design, atmosphere and the comfort. Food was good and served in beautiful way. First time I had a pizza with Apples and almonds. Definitely on expensive side.
Other than that the staff was very friendly. They had...
Read moreWe had high expectations as this is one of the more expensive Italian restaurants in Medellin. My wife had one of their gins, and then we had 2 pasta dishes. The pasta was very good, plentiful and tasty, but their service cadence is completely wrong for a fine restaurant. We had only just received our drinks when they brought us our main courses, so there was no time to enjoy the drinks.
Then I finished my pasta before my wife, and they asked if I wanted to take the remaining portion home which I did. She came back with the remaining food packaged to go, and my wife was still eating. It was like a training video for new servers being shown to new recruits about how NOT to serve customers!!
My final issue is the gin and tonic my wife has was 42,000 COP, which is crazy high in Colombia. I realize they use imported ingredients because Colombia is not a gin making country, but this is a crazy price.
Overall, we were disappointed as our expectations...
Read moreAmmazza has a really good selection of pastas, pizzas and risotto's. My favorites are the pasta with salmon or the pasta with shrimp. I have not ordered a pizza here. There is another location in El Poblado which has the same menu. The gin drinks are quite pricey, but they have a large selection. They also have a very large selection of wines in a wide price range. I have chosen this restaurant four times in the last 3 months for dinner, and at least twice for delivery. I highly recommend checking it out. For a restaurant of this caliber, the prices are about average...
