The WORST hotel I have ever stayed at IN MY LIFE! They abuse customers to avoid bad reviews!! — I arrived in the evening and they gave me a room that was completely(!) different from what was advertised online, like day and night, it felt like a cramped dungeon. When I said I wanted the room I had booked (superior suite) they refused. When I told the man that I would leave them a bad review for it the man suddenly lost it and threatened to have me removed from the room immediately (I had already gone up and dropped my bags). It was past midnight and I was a solo female traveler who had just arrived to colombia. There was no way I would leave right now. Then he threatened me that he would call the police. The statement was so wildly outrageous and ridiculous that I laughed at first. He had no claim on me against police other than me saying I would leave a bad review. What then ensured left me speechless (!). After about half an hour I spent back at my room, someone violently knocked on the door. When I opened in pjamas with my toothbrush in the mouth, he stood there with a security guard and said he was having me forcibly removed. The security guard tried grabbing me but I quickly shut the door before he could and locked it from the inside. I was panicked and baffled. It was 1 am and I was alone(!) in Colombia with no place to go. The receptionist (who was on calls with the owner of the hotel earlier) then kept violently knocking on my room and again loudly told me he was calling the police (through the closed door). At that point I got scared because I realized I was dealing with highly (!) irrational people here, and who knows what kind of deals they have with the local police members. It was so absurd to me until then that he would threaten with the police for me saying I would leave a bad review. but then I realized that if he could get me out forcibly that night he could claim to booking.com that I never slept there, and that way he thought he could avoid the negative review I was to give him. Another violent knocking at the door ensued another hour later, and this time I did not open the door. Needless to say I was shook and frightened(!) to the core and was also just wildly angry at the inhumane and horrid (truly, truly horrid) treatment of this hotel towards its customers. Shame on this hotel. Shame on its owner who was in on this. Shame on the receptionist. I have never lived trough as awful of an experience.
More about the room: the room was on the 3rd floor, loud(!), small, the AC was uncomfortably either having icy cold air straight onto you on the bed or you had to turn it off (no in between settings). The hallways looked like out of a prison. The handle of the washbasin in the bathroom fell of when you touched it. The pillows were for giants (no normal head would fit them and will get major neck aches), ie it it all just for looking nice on pics but its cheap and flimsy and inhumane when you are in the room. They trick customers with the images of high up rooms, large beautiful bright and inviting rooms with views, and then give you the low down, cramped, dark, loud, lousy rooms instead. They call regular tiny rooms by grand names like suite when there is hardly place to open a suitcase. Oh and the water did not work. No running water in the bath and shower outlets (they said water would likely(!) be back the next day). Needless to say, go elsewhere...

Terrible experience over ask but at the end I had a horrible checkout at this hotel, as I was checking out the front desk asked the housekeepers to inspect the room to make sure everything was good
Literally A minute after he told them to inspect the room the housekeeper told him that there was a missing hand towel from the room so he said he was going to charge me for it!! Because according to him many guests take them. So that's gives them the right to treat every guest like a thief without throughout checking the room first.
I was very upset as I didn't steal anything and I refused to pay for a hand towel that I didn't take so I asked him to look through my luggage and he went through it, he looked through and confirmed there was no hand towel in my luggage! (Photo is added to review) I felt so humiliated as I was treated like a thief over a hand towel! it was the most disgusting thing anyone can go through! Especially since there was another guest watching everything.
In reality they are the real thieves because they accuse guests of t taking items from the room just to charge them. I've stayed in hotels all over the world and this is the craziest thing I've ever encountered! Plus they charge you a 8000 tax for each day you stay there, strange as no hotel in Medellin has done this before, that's their way of getting your credit card on record to charge for items they claim safe missing since I had booked my room through Expedia and they didn't have my card.
Aside from that the place is sooooo LOUD. And inside the room they have huge pipes that are outside of the wall that make VERY loud running water noises at first I was so scared because I didn't know where the noise was coming from I thought their was a leak. The loud sounds would wake me up at night. I was sick and I couldn't get a good night sleep while I was there.
The area is super loud so much traffic rooms are loud. Not worth it there are way better choices out there.
ALSO NO GUESTS ARE ALLOWED AT IN THE ROOMS AT ALL, totally strange as I had some family in the area and they couldn't visit me, even rappi delivery guy can't come upstairs to your room, you have to go down to pick up the order, this place is ran so differently it's honestly terrible I would not recommend this plane not even to my worst enemy
If you decide to stay there I suggest if you please take a video of all the liquor and snacks and all towels because check out, also stay until the room is checked do not just have the key card and walk out, to avoid unexpected charges, as this place will accuse you of stealing and will try to make you pay for things just to make an extra buck!
The manager texted me to apologize about the incident but nothing can really make up for the humiliation that I experienced over...
Read moreBad experience. Checked in at 6, asked for a room on a high floor, was told none were available but they said they had a nice room on the 4th floor. Didn't want that but what can you do when they say you have no options. The desk clerk seemed bothered by my asking for something better. So I asked if there was at least a view and he said yes. The view was of people eating at the restaurants directly across the street. Literally. My view was watching people dine. Live music at the restaurant was so loud it was like having a lounge act in my room. It finally stopped around 10. Went to shower. The cheap, flimsy towel bar fell down. The shower head was in such bad shape that it sent water all over the bathroom, I had to mop up. No hot water in bathroom sink. You don't get bar soaps, you have to share what previous guests use from bottles attached to the wall. In the morning, the electricity went out for a while which meant no elevator. So we walked down a dark unmarked stairwell to find out where we go for breakfast. The morning front desk clerk was even ruder than the one the night before and pointed us to Mekong, where breakfast was a choice of 5 things and you had to fill out a form to get what you wanted. Went to check out and had to wait in the lobby until someone ran up to the room to make sure we didn't steal anything. And the morning receptionist was about as rude and unhappy as they come. The furniture in the room was cheap. Plastic chairs, fake wood table, Ikea-grade sofa, low-quality appliances and cabinets. But I will say the bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. And the location is good but extremely noisy...don't plan on opening your windows. I don't understand the 5 star reviews this place is getting. Maybe because it's brand new and still fresh looking. But it seems people have become accustomed to thinking this level of mediocracy and bad service is acceptable. Also was told I had to pay extra tax because of the date stamp on my visa. Would never ever go back. Many other hotels in the area with better service...
